  1. Do you mean tilted down? Because yes, they're just temporary.
  2. Beautiful project. If you still have the files for the vinyl cutting, I would really love to have them, if you don't mind sharing - I'm considering respraying my frame as well sometime next year. You can see more info on it here:
  3. Got a very light wheelset, just hunting around for a 15mm axle or looking to have one turned now. If anybody can recommend someone please drop a contact. Seatpost and seat will be replaced, and I'll go for a lower stem too.
  4. Super kind offer, thank you. I managed to get my hands on American Classic wheelset that should be easy to convert - just need to have a new axle turned. It's this one - actually what got me interested in the brand -
  5. That is too bad, but thank you for looking.
  6. Some extra bits done, sourcing bearings for a wheel conversion and for pivots next. So many dead links on the Internet with items this old!
  7. Thank you, that's a kind offer! I'm in JHB but fortunately have access to a few tools.
  8. Howzit, if anybody has either a 26" front wheel with 15mm thru axle, or a thru axle conversion kit for an American Classic hub, please let me know.
  9. Build begins with me clueless and ever and no wheels on hand
  10. Dear hubbers, I am in the process of building up a nice little Motolite for my girlfriend to use as a trail bike. I've scraped together all the parts required through months of arduous negotiations and now there is only one thing standing in my way. A decent 26" wheelset. Crucially, one with a 15mm front thru-axle. It doesn't even need to be stated but the budget is tight and the timelines are narrow. If anybody has one, please let me know. Alternatively, does anybody know anything about converting an older American Classic front hub (Disc 130) from QR to TA? I've seen this online but the price is prohibitive, might as well buy a new wheel - https://www.bicyclepartsupply.com/product/american-classic15mm-thru-axle-kit/ Would appreciate any help, leads, or Motolite memories and tips!
  11. I definitely think this route is both easier and nicer to race than the previous one, but that last headwind made the final sprint an insanely painful experience!
  12. Mine showed up immediately
  13. What a great race. The weather held and the gees was beautiful!
  14. Normally, yes, but even with it off I can't seem to access any of my ads. This has only started happening recently.
  15. Not sure if this is the right place but I can't see any of my own ads under the 'My Ads' button.
  16. Easy process, no worries collecting the package. Notably thinner than previously with no complimentary sauces, juices, oil, potions, or powders. Expo was a let down, not one single spares supplier so not a place to score deals on tubes or tyres if that was the intention.
  17. President Bolt & Tool, Selby.
  18. I believe so, my girlfriend bought a ticket yesterday. Alternatively there are some swops on the classifieds
  19. I'd be happy with that. New route has a bit more climbing, but it's maybe a more consistent climb at the end than the old one which might be psychologically easier.
  20. What kind of pace can us lesser mortals expect in the J/K/L bunches?
  21. Considering it's the same elevation in half the distance, you shouldn't feel too bad
  22. Personally I think you'll have more fun on a road bike if your fit and setup is correct.
  23. The Portlandia skit "Instant Trash" comes to mind. I don't need more kaggelkakkies lying around, I know I finished, that's what strava is for.
