okay I've worked it out...if you are travelling 40km/h and get a crosswind from 15 degrees in the direction of movement.. you get a resultant wind of 38.8km/h a hour 176.15 degrees in the direction of movement... thus is still impossible for a negative drag... It only becomes possible for a short while if you ride at 40km/h and you suddenly get a wind straight from behind thats travelling at 41km/h..but you will then pick up speed just until your above 41km/h and the resultant wind becomes zero Racing Hart2007-09-03 14:29:21

lift is totally something different to drag...lift actaully uses the drag to lift off

they wind is only to strong for a disc when the resultant wind is from about 85-95 degrees...in other cases a disc is always better...(eg allmost all cases)

a wheel can only create less drag than another wheel manufacturer but never can the drag become zero or less

no its impossible to get a wind from behind while riding on a bike unless you are riding in a 70km/h tailwind... there would always be drag on a wheel its impossible to create a wheel thas has a negative drag!!

no there is none in SA...there is a quite few in lesotho though that almost counts as SA doesn't it...seeing that the tour of south africa will be making a turn through lesotho next year

please dont feed me that...if ladies want to be competive cyclists they will RACE in ladies category and not just ride for fun!! the prize money has got nothing to do with it...I mean who started racing because of prize money...you started racing because you love racing

I acgree that ladies prize money has to step up..but making it the same as mens prize money is insane...Think about how many men is competing for prize money as too ladies if they competing for the same amount.. Normally in pro cycling they devide the winnings between the riders..So if you have lets say 7/8 men's teams and 3ladies teams the ladies at the end of the day get way more than the mens.. but there should be a ratio worked out not just based on numbers..to work it out who should get what
