  3. Just got news that a cyclist was attacked and robbed of his bike and cell in Turfhall road yesterday morning. He is apparently a Spartans member. Can anybody confirm the details or shed any more light on this?
  4. Looking good. Congrats. Where's the pic with Zipps?
  5. CWC for a wide variety, but I would go to the Tygervalley branch for a bigger selection. Check out Cyclefunatics in Durbanville ss well for some Spez goodies.
  6. New for 2014. Colnago CF11 for Ferrari. Tube to tube construction, oh and it's a 29er. There is a CF12 as well. Moulded 27.5 frame. Both are hardtails.
  7. Colnago CF11 for Ferrari. New for 2014. Oh, it's a 29er.
  8. Have a look at the Vittoria Corsa Open CX. The clincher version of their famous tubular. Google reviews online. Their Diamante Pro is sub 200g but Im guessing with 220 tpi its not as durable. www.vittoria.com. Nothing wrong with GP4000s, I have yet to have a puncture with mine and they are 205g each.
  9. Now that is shaxxy. The sportswagon does not come with the widened fenders. I must say those widened wheel arches really spices up the look.
  10. It's called the Comp Ultra. It will be lighter than the current SR titanium crank. It will however be compatible with BSA, BB30 and BB86. Read more here, http://www.campagnolo.com/jsp/en/groupsetdetail/item_comp-ultra-crankstet-over-torque_catid_12.jsp
  11. There is a similiar thread in Tech QnA on this. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/134506-cutting-a-carbon-flat-bar/page__st__16#entry2168000
  12. Personally I use Albert rd (lower main rd ) to reach CBD, although I head up Church str to the N1. I would avoid the main rd into town as you have way too much traffic to contend with. The trick is to stay out of Gimpie street. I have never heard of amyone been jacked on Albert rd. Its the busiest route with cyclists on a Sat, Sun morning.
  13. Bikelane in Victoria road, Woodstock. ( near Salt River road) BMC in Aubrey road, Salt river. ( off Durham road) Cycle Traders in Albert road, Woodstock. ( near the Biscuit Mill) The Gearchange in Davison road, Woodstock. ( next to Woodstock railway station) Woodstock Cycles in Victoria road, Woodstock. ( close to Goodhope centre) As far as mechanical work goes I have only used Bikelane and BMC.
  14. Problem is who is gonna clean it everyday after riding on our roads.
  15. Cycling is 'my happy place' even if I'm suffering. Can't put a price on that.
  16. Check out them 'lugs'. http://ifbikesblog.blogspot.com/2013/08/corvid-for-cody.html
