  1. I only wash my MTB to prevent extra wear on parts, not really for the looks, it's going to get dirty again very soon anyway
  2. Why isn't Darling Brew Slow beer on the poll?, Damn now that's real beer! Ohja and Jack Black lager!
  3. Don't most stolen bikes end up on the market and in a race again? If so then an effective way would be to put a kind of race number RF-ID tag inside the frame and then the scanners at a race will pick it up as stolen bike on the system if so reported. Just a though on a easy and inexpensive way of insuring a bike.
  4. I've currently got the same problem. I've replaced my Rear derailleur with a short arm X7 and also my chain, the chain was too long so I shortened the new chain, but I noticed the link is a bit harder to bend where I broke and connected the chain again. It's currently settling, so less slipping at the moment.
  5. So I just rode Majik Forest today...it's horrible, what happened there? The track is full of small holes and bumps and it's not the rain. Next time I'll pay with pleasure at above mentioned places if I can only find a decent trail.
  6. Ek't nie geweet CWC verkoop lingerie nie?? Dink in elk geval daardie "Winter colthing special" gaan bietjie koel wees...
  7. I know of Majik Forest that is free, been there a lot and love the route although it needs some attention.
  8. Well since the X-7 is on special, alot. X-9 would be around R450+ Ok maybe I understood them wrong then? The old X-7 (about 2006 model) Rear Derailleur's top wheel is mounted with 2 holes instead of 1 and the bottom jockey wheel runs between 2 discs. It's been badley abused and dirty in this pic.
  9. Ok so numerous LBS quoted me R200+ to replace one of my jockey wheels on my SRAM X-7 rear derailleur, Seems that the bottom twin hole jockey wheel is quite difficult to find and no longer in production. I see that Solomons has the whole Rear Derailleur on special for R230... My question is should I replace the old Derailleur with the X-7 or should I upgrade to X-9? Will I notice any big improvement in shifting from the X-9 than the X-7?
  10. Joh! Mooi MTB! Watter size frame is dit? Dit lyk redelik klein of is dit net die saal se hoogte?
  11. The spokes doesn't blur on the pic so he's standing still, but still looks awesome though!
  12. WTF! I'd beat that guy near death! He must have been sick in the head or irritated to do something like that
  13. Oi! Give that man a Bells!
  14. Joh mooi fiets en rims! Dink net hoe mooi gan hy lyk met 'n riser bar vir trail riding!
  15. +1 Love my dualie! Once you've ridden a dualie there's no turning back. Noticed it's your 666 post...
  16. For this location airtime may be difficult on a MTB so here's my alternative...
  17. Until I can afford a Trail Carbon Dualie...yes
  18. Real men ride metal MTB's!
  19. & I mounted a LED in each vent at both sides with twin flex wires running on the inside and connecting a 2x AA battery pack that I cable tied to the back of the helmet's head mount with a little switch. It's still in the R&D faze so I might swop the AA for AAA battery pack that’s lighter and smaller. I use those cheap AA batteries that weigh a lot less than energizers and the LED's draw only 60mAh. The battery pack was supposed the fit horizontally but I cut the wires 2cm too short... Yeah! that’s what it reminded me of! at first it looked like a death shark without the middle LED
  20. And while I was busy with the LED's I made some Wide angle Red ones to fit on the rear of the helmet for better visibility, middle one flashes. Cost me about R12 to build!
  21. I just drove past the cops with the lights on and they just smiled at me so think I'm safe there. ...And about the pedals...Getting some clipless soon Thanks! Nope, haven't conviced my dad yet, only Blue one's in the bullbar for offroading, so far...
  22. Instead of Blue LED's on the back or front I've mounted 5 Wide angle blue LED's on the bottom of the top tube and best of all it shines in no ones eyes...I hope the spietkops don't have a prob with this... LED's are powered from a battery pack in the fork which I also fitted with some White LED's , one step closer to completing my night rider. B)
  23. I've read that in the UK Flashing rear Red lights are illegal...don't know why If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing it so I'm pimping my bike with some LED's. Night rider B)
