  1. sorry, it double sucks
  2. Also entered, planning to love the first 4 hours and hate the remaining two as usual with the long races, but looking forward to it
  3. isn't it cape town hub ? 😅
  4. cycling friends in cape town
  5. yeaaaah... I'm keen for this race, but worried the trails will be absoutely trash
  6. nonsense, that's exactly what we do here, especially on fridays !
  7. Watching this race is frustrating. I start the stream mid race, I have no idea who's up front, how far they are in the race. Would be nice if they showed in a corner of the screen the last time check between the race lead and the rest. From what I can see it looks like the german are in the front ? If they are, they're certainly not racing like pussies
  8. I'm happy they maintained trails I've never ridden on
  9. last year I threw R650 away because I couldn't go to the race on the day 😢
  10. I love mine CF3 frame and CF5 fork, with a few upgrades it ended up lighter than my prev TCR 2021 pro 0. I have a size S (52), previously on a 54 TCR. The bike is longer, my toes never hit my wheel. I took me a couple hours to get confident in the descents due to the difference in geometry but now I'm fully confident with it, I do a lot of crit racing it handles really well. Also all my climbing PRs were smashed on this bike, I'm no climber but it climbs well as far as I'm concerned
  11. on the MTB I kept the same cassette when I moved from XTR to GX then back to XTR. When the XTR derailleur has the clutch on I don't have that kickback, I do have it when the clutch is off. On the gravel bike the wheels are fairly new (about 2000km), but yes, I did go from a smaller 11spd cassette to the massive 12spd mtb cassette
  12. Bit off topic, but I struggle to find the GX AXS specific topic. Since I have now moved parts from my MTB to my Gravel bike, I noticed my AXS has a lot more inertia than my former APEX (I had to replace the freehub body to move from Apex to AXS) or than the XTR that I put back on my MTB (same freehub body). When ever I pedal at comfortable/quick cadence, if I suddenlty stop pedalling I get a bit of a kick back in my right crankarm from the chain. Nothing to cry about, but feels a bit ***, kind of like if you don't put the clutch on on your XTR. The chain doesn't look loose, and B tension screw seems alright. If that new hangerless tech has the same feel, even if it shifts perfect under load I'm not gonna like it (to be honest most of my current setups (XTR/GXAXS/Ultegra Di2 11spd) already shift fine under load provided you don't shift 3 gears at once at very slow cadence)
  13. Maybe the one that measures all ? 😅
  14. Sho still 5+mins behind for Spez despite 3 stages wins including 2 since the day Blevins was in the hurtbox, I thought they only lost 5 mins then 😕
  15. Xert is well known, but tends to give you complicated workouts 7 days a week, which is too much strain for one, and the more complicated the workout, the more difficult it is to do it properly. I have my habits, I know where I can do each workout of my library properly, then I have no excuses if I fail it If I only had one main event to train for and in a while, I'd rather go for a pre-set plan done by a reputable coach.
  16. Think so, at least for that one they say it is compensated in the software :
  17. Let's see what they say. I'm so far happy with the unit except that it showed 100% battery until it turned off yesterday 🤣 Now it's all charged up and working again, might not trust it too much and just recharge it every now and then, just like I recharge my Di2 before each race even if the LED is green
  18. Exactly this, I'm curious to hear in a year or two what bike mechanics say about this after working on numerous actual customers bikes (not pro sponsored athletes)
  19. yeah, nothing wrong with what Spez did, they just played with their strenghts and weaknesses, but I do understand that 2 mins after a frustrating finish like this you can be a bit sour in the heat of the moment. Not going to use the D word here because we hear it 1000 times during every stage, but don't think there should be any hate towards any of the riders here. Maybe some of SCR's frustration also comes from the fact that spez did no work when Scott was hanging by a thread, and it was in their common interest to create as early as possible a gap as big as possible to them to try and grind some time on GC ? Does the fact that they did not help shows that Spez's goal is more to win stages than try to recover GC ? (actual question)
  20. Very interesting. So it looks like I can save my bucks for now and keep my XTR/GX AXS on my MTB/Gravel bikes 😅
  21. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  22. According to strava in the last 3-4 years I’ve done over 10000km (out of the total 50 000km recorded) on the MTB, never broken a hanger, actually I bought my spare hanger for the lefty so long ago i’m not even sure I can find it if I need it 🤣
  23. Eagle eye ! i thought something was weird, but assumed it was the way the stand was setup
  24. Bosch has done it for you
