  1. it's 10 times less dodgy than paarden eiland to town imo. it's so quiet that I don't think it's worth it for criminals to wait there for someone to come through. also there seems to be a police facility closer to the N7, where they keep their horses, there's almost always a guard there, maybe it spooks them a little
  2. not sure what section you're talking about, the only dodgy section is between the checkers hyper and cipla as there are dozens of people walking form dunoon to their jobs. But so far so good, I've only encountered people actually going to work and not looking for trouble. Once you're out of the N7 you won't see anyone, hardly ever see a car.

  4. close, old malmesbury just after zone7
  5. https://www.leadvilleraceseries.com/little-sugar-mtb/ The header has a "Lifetime leadville race series" logo and it says "lifetime little sugar MTB, october 13"... > WTAF... https://www.leadvilleraceseries.com/mtb/ I'm lost for words here, they're really not making it easy to understand the series

    The Classics

how come there's a "jumbo" visma sticker on it though 😜
  7. He did 2nd at little sugar in a sprint finish against Keegan, it doesn't appear to be part of the lifetimegrandprix last year, but on their website it says it does now ? Confusing AF his results last year : 3rd at crusher as well
  8. You can set it up all like you want from the head unit, I haven't pressed a button on mine for a week. It wakes up when you start your ride, goes to sleep when you finish your ride (providing you've activated lights control in your Wahoo app, or wherever that is on garmin units). You can also turn it on/off/change mode from the unit, disable notifications, etc. in a couple of clicks. EDIT : at the moment bike addict is the cheapest option
  9. I know, that's why I said I regret it wasn't built that way. Not going to go through the trouble of doing it now
  10. don't bother I'm usually more of a garmin hater, but I must say I eventually gave in and bought myself a varia (got a bit frightened by the rising amount of accidents recently and figured my life was probably worth the price tag), and even yesterday it the thickest fog I've ridden it, it was still seeing the cars from pretty far. And I've noticed a lot less close overtakes since I have mine, must have been riding with it for 2 weeks now, only had 1 car passing me close when I used to have that expenrience on the daily before. I charged it twice, including yesterday when the wahoo was still saying "Battery : Good" just to make sure. Only problems I had with it was yesterday it disconnected twice for a couple of seconds (also why I decided to charge it, just in case), and also took me a while to figure out that the "auto light" setting I set on "5 secs" on the Wahoo was the reason why it was turning off when there was no cars behind. Once you figure out how to control it from your Wahoo, then you can really optimise battery life (for exemple on Gravel during the day I only set it to blink when a car is coming, the rest of the time it's off). Also pretty cool that it turns on and off on it's own on the start and end of a ride.
  11. on a 2x system I really don't mind having only one battery to charge instead of two. Actually, I wish my bike was installed with the wires from the levers to the battery, it would be one less thing to worry about even if I still haven't changed the shifters batteries yet. I still have PTSD from when my gen 1 force shifters died on me 1km into the 100 miler, then I tried for 40km to shift up and down with the 1 remaining shifter using my phone to reprogram it to up/down every time. (With the super shitty app shimano has it would've never been possible)
  12. and here I was, squeezing my butt every time my varia was notifying of an incoming car
  13. Couldn't see passed my front wheel this morning while it was dark. Once the sun was out it wasn't much better.
  14. It was said they’d sell van rysel outside of decathlon, to be honest I don’t understand this choice they already can’t keep up with demand in France in their own stores
  15. I'd go for the Cannondale with hydrolic disc brakes even if that means having one (two since it's 2x) less gears

    Dopers suck

    That's the question

    Dopers suck

I think it's so obvious that I shouldn't even have to write it but hey, "the company" coached hundreds of athletes in and outside of the country, and most athletes are clients, not employees, so they don't have an obligation to stay quiet about anything that happened while being coached. I personally know some that have changed coaches within "the company" (including myself) or even changed to other "companies". If some of them were instructed to start using banned stuff from their coaches, surely someone would've exposed them by now.
  18. I haven't thought it through too much yet as I have a few races still before that one, but it seemed the race started late enough that I might consider not stay that side the night before. (on the website it says start time 8am ?)
  19. That is why I only ride my MTB when I have to 🤣
  20. I tested my new light again this morning, definitely an upgrade from last year when I couldn’t see passed my front wheel, especially when my light died after 40mins 🤣🤣

    Dopers suck

I don't understand how this works, if your medical condition requires you to take banned substances, and you know that they are banned, can't you file a case beforehand stating that you will be taking said substance for medical reasons and get a free pass ? Seems that would make sense rather than having to hide it and hope not to get caught and only then having to justify yourself
  22. All the parts I've ever bought through bikeinn were delivered in a nice SRAM box, I doubt they do that kind of trick (that seem a bit questionnable). I think they just move a lot of volume so they get good deals
