  1. Eagle eye ! i thought something was weird, but assumed it was the way the stand was setup
  2. Bosch has done it for you
  3. I'm more worried about the weight
  4. with a trough axle in I don't really see how your frame can brake, the hanger is more here to save the derailleur than the frame in my opinion. And to be honest, how many hangers did you brake in the past ? And how many times did you hit that hard that you think you would have broken your frame ? Providing a solution that requires zero setup is good in my opinion, let's see what the reality of this tech brings, might be a bad idea, might not
  5. I think it’s a pretty cool idea ! And the customisation is nice but when you see the shortages on normal components (generic and mass produced) it seems a bit weird to make lots of different options for everything. I wonder how they can have such cool ideas for mtb and come up with the new force design they announce the order day
  6. nah not really, it only takes a little man flu to realise it's BS 🤣
  7. I can't read from here 🤣 Considering the size of the engine the guy has, I'm expecting him to use the biggest chainring his bike allows
  8. Matt on the 10t all day
  9. I was wondering if she was starting in the mens group, but this is next level determination as most men would’ve pulled out for this. Hope she gets no side effects from painkillers/antibiotics. I would expect for her the worst part is getting sleep, once the juices flow on the bike the pain might go away
  10. I would definitely have 😭
  11. Brings back some memories
  12. I'm saying as a non pro without a dedicated mechanic to do my chains every 500km or everytime I get rained on or muddy, I sometimes just put some Squirt on when I don't have time to do the full process before a C race or during the week when I know my chain is a bit dry. Most of the time I'm doing what I believe is the important part of the maintenance to get the most part of the gains, and sacrifice the last possible marginal gains by not adding PTFE to my wax (more because it's not that easy to source and not sure how volatile/toxic it can be), or using a silca/absolute black/ceramic speed recipe. I realise there's probably a few more watts to gain but to be honest I'm not sure it's worth the extra trouble. Maybe later on when the current hotwax process becomes a bit less of a mission everytime (cooking it on my stove with the family around me in the kitchen 😅).
  13. Yes, very interesting stuff (although sponsored and possibly biased) on Dylan Johnson's podcast about which chain/which treatment (I think the last video he released is about which chains are faster/slower, but there's been other ones about which treatments) In the end it's all a choice between how many watts you can save vs how much of a headache it is. At the moment I'm running dura ace chains on my roadbike/mtb (fastest chain), but XO1 chain on the my gravel bike, which is the 2nd slowest chain, but I only ride this bike for training, the day I want to race it I might put on a dura ace or buy a KMC chain or something, because on a 6 hour race, a handful of watts can be interesting to get 😅 (could be more since I'm on a 1by set up so cross chaining half of the time) All my bikes run on melted wax+ liquid parafin, I do them every 2ond week or so, and because I'm lazy AF I put some Sqirt in between treatments. Any more than that (adding PTFE, using Absolute black treatments...) seems like too much work/fuss for less than a couple extra watts
  14. eish
  15. Just started watching, so what is it ? Spez having an issue at the back ? I see there's a group with scott/canyon, they said it's a chasing group, who's at the front ? Edit: orbea speed company, ok https://www.epic-series.com/capeepic-riders-liveresults
  16. I scrolled through the video, I saw a ton of excess on that chain yes, but assumed like absolute black the chain came out of a sachet full of that product which explained why it was in that state. I must say they lost me when they started fitting those absolute black brake pads 🤣 Think it's probably a good thing for a first setup to make sure all of that coating goes onto each cog and chainring, then maybe it's worth wiping off the excess. I don't wipe off the wax on the outside of my chains, it just falls off in the first few km on the road
  17. I’m pretty sure epic didn’t pick freshly licenced helicopter pilots to fly so close to the mountains, riders and public so it gets me a little bit seing couch experts calling them less than descent and judging how they do their jobs. Anyways. Just checked the results, seing guys that destroy me every weekend on the road barely making it top 45… makes me realise how insane the level of competition is, more importantly how priviledged we are of riding that often with some of these guys in our local races
  18. When you dip your chain in wax do you manage to only put wax on the inside ? 🤣
  19. This attack after 300km yesterday makes me really think it’s a big shame he wasn’t able to race world champs… then again Remco was so far above the rest that day…
  20. lol, have you heard any of the riders complaining about a head wind or are you just assuming based on what you saw on tv ? Eitherway, top teams should be glad there were choppers taking awesome shots of them, their sponsors will be happy they sent them to do this race if the coverage stays good for the viewers and it brings more audience. If the riders can deal with 100km stage full gas they can deal with a little bit of dust in their faces
  21. and ? How do you think their salaries are paid ?
  22. Very impressed with the coverage today, onboard and from the helicopters ! Hope they keep it going like this. I was at meerendal today it wasn’t super busy but not empty either. I had planned other things since it was supposed to rain, maybe other people did the same.
  23. It is definitely
  24. He played his card so perfectly, none of them could do anything, and they looked finished at the end, it’s not like they didn’t try and looked at each other
  25. Sho, good luck to the riders on that descent after dorsberg, be prepared for a rotor/brake pads change 😅 I wonder why they chose to use the downhill single track instead of the normal fireroad for the climb to the top, but must admit it's more fun
