  1. He was looking like he really wanted to break away 😅
  2. Received today... mind blown
  3. Thanks man, really hoping Babse is ok, no news since I saw him on the side of the road when I rode off after the crash 😭 Imagine being a self sponsored dad of two that had to pay 4k to enter this dream race, make a lot of time from life to train for this very specific event (not a lot of events with 3 20mins climbs at the end), get the results, get hyped.... all of this to turn to pieces because after 30km in the 1st stage some dumb **** wanabee "pro cyclist" can't even ride properly in a bunch and tries to slot in on his teammates front wheel. I'm gutted for myself but more importantly I hope Babse can join us for the rest of the stages... Update: I hear some okes are at hospital... I saw bruizes but hoped it wasn't too bad, looks like I got lucky, sorry for them 😕
  4. /60 to have in w/kg if you’re into zwift racing
  5. No the 8000 has the cf3 frame and 9000 and team the cf5 my 21 7000e has the cf3 frame and cf5 fourk, that’s why I was interested in upgrading
  6. But it’s also around 15$ pm ? Like fullgaz that does the same thing For me zwift is only good if you want to race or run workouts, but I don’t do that anymore, we have plenty (too many ?) real races on the calendar already. Nowadays (meaning not in winter or lockdown) I only use the idt to do steady z2 rides or recovery spins so I’m more interested in tacx or fullgas type apps where I can see roads from all over the world, otherwise I just watch youtube/netflix. Workouts on the IDT I can’t do my numbers are crap indoors it’s not quality 😜😜
  7. Ah it’s the one I was interested in. last time I checked it wasn’t on the site anymore there was only the team and 8000. Never seen an actual pic of this bike and it’s 2023 already !
  8. It’s not just in SA, I tried finding photos of the new reacto 9000 never could see one appart from the designs on the site. Now it’s just vanished from the site too so it looks like this bike never hit the market. there’s a 2023 scultura at bike addict though, but only one (low spec) model
  9. Everytime I've done Ventoux (4 times over the last two years), I can promise you the only workout you get is strength, from grinding at 50 rpm for hours on your granny gear. I hate it yet I always end up going up twice when I go back to france 🤣
  10. haha don't bother, who wants to ride 12% for 1+hr on the IDT 🤣
  11. Ah lol, same idea. Any of them provide a gpx file ? I quickly searched last time I wanted to ride on the idt and ended up on opening a trial account on fulgaz on the apple tv… went pretty crap as usual when I try these apps, takes longer to get everything working half decent than riding
  12. All these IDT services are so expensive it’s actually ridiculous… blows my mind that people haven’t yet started youtube channels where you can watch a ride and download gpx file so that you can ride it on your garmin with your IDT
  13. I ride a small (size 52) road bike and a large (size 56) gravel bike. My gravel bike has less reach than my road bike both with 120mm stems, which is absolutely fine, I wanted that bike to feel close to the roadie but a little less extreme for daily training rides. If the OP wanted a size medium and was given a small, it is probably very small for him as most gravel bikes I've analyse geo for I would have been between 54 and 56 if not almost always 56 (Although on my current 56 my seatpost is almost at the lowest). Sorry about that mate, not cool at all
  14. I have done 2000km on my gravel bike, got the xcadey second hand it showed 85% battery… after a few hundred km I charged it just to be safe… it’s the only time I’ve charged it yet. Surely at this rate (1 cycle every 2000km) the battery should hold a few years… let’s see
  15. I’m thinking 26+\- or max 30 mins should do, the full du toits is a lot more isn’t it ?
  16. Damn I only trained for up to 20mins efforts 😜 when I drove up there yesterday it was pumping !!

    [EVENT] Tour de PPA

Was a nice chilled ride, only .937 Intensity factor 😜
  18. That’s why I said you’ll always burn more than you can restore, that’s why you must start eating as soon as you’re off the bike, so that you can restore most of the deficit. !
  19. A 50kg lady will have a rough time getting 120g of carbs per hour while racing in the red tho 😅 I can barely tolerate 100g myself. I actually have to think it through and keep track during races to make sure I eat enough!
  20. Anyone got info from the org about which cat 30+ are starting with ? 😬
  21. I read about "people eating stuff they don't need", it's very hard to eat stuff you don't need on a stage race, you burn more than you can process, so as long as you don't eat more than what you can process (about 1g per kilo per hour if you haven't trained on more yet) you're good. I would not advise against gels or liquid carbs, although I would definitely recommend mixing it up between whatever you can get : potatoes, bananas, rice cake, banana bread... all of this is not so convenient to carry and consume on the bike, I keep that kind of stuff for races where there are mandotatory stops (like DC), or marathon MTB races where you can stop 10 secs to stuff your face at the waterpoint. The rest for me will all be carbs water, gels and fast bars. And as soon as the race is over stuff my face with real food. After 4 days I must say I can't wait to stop consuming sports nutrition, but this works for me
  22. Just received a dhl message, this is ridiculously quick 😜
  23. I’ll just stick to your wheel, you seem to have a 100% success rate in this field 💪💪
  24. I did, it should hold still a little while, hopefully it doesn’t snap in a sprint 🤦‍♂️
  25. Anyone has an old lever with one of these bolt to attach the shifters on the lever bracket lying in their garage ? I’m having my axs moved from my mtb to my gravel bike and it’s the missing piece to have my old xtr fitted back on my mtb 😭😭 (or if anyone knows where I can find one ? i’ll start going around all the shops in the area soon)
