  1. Renting in europe is so expensive, and sometimes tricky. It depends where you're going and how many days you're planning to ride, if you just want to ride for a couple of days at Alpe d'Huez, rent, if you want to be riding for two weeks in various places, byob
  2. Do they make one without the lefty ? 😜
  3. yeah I've had a chain skip on a fresh chainring at just about .25 so I don't wait further to change chains those KMC's aren't that expensive and well rated in the friction tests so worth it imo
  4. I hope so although I don't really see the point of that, why not just clean the one chain and replace it once it's passed the .25 mark ? because once your two chains are passed that, you'll start chewing your cassette anyways
  5. what do you mean switching chains every 500km ? You throw them away ? My current GX cassette has 9500km and is as new, and I thought I was a bit extreme changing chains every 2000km or so, I'm running those KMC Gold Ti with hot wax melt setup and squirt top ups, and they hit the .25 wear mark at around that mileage, I'm sure with a XX1 chain I would do triple that distance. If I were to change chain every 500km I'd change them every week and half..
  6. Any info on his retirement and Marc Pritzen’s ? It’s a bit worrying. Hope they’re ok
  7. is this old malmesbury ? was there this morning, what a nice ride it was
  8. no, they didn't want the original ID and I didn't bring copies. Already the 2nd time I go, not keen to go another two times so screw it
  9. Beautiful day at the top of the mountains this morning
  10. Matts numbers today… 7w/kg for 5mins and 5.5 for 60mins… and at his weight, that’s a lot of watts. Poor drivetrain… 😜
  11. as far as I'm concerned, this. But also I'm now running 32s at 4.5 bars so probably can use almost any other sealant, I've got tons of Squirt, that now comes with extra "beadblock", I'm hoping this will work well on the road. So far on MTB and Gravel it's been perfectly fine (and unlike Orange I did not have to top up every 2nd other month)
  12. The day I have 300+k to burn I think this will be the new addition to my garage
  13. ok **** it, not going to waste my time further... turns out you also need a copy of your ID, not just the originals, and photo + form.
  14. yeaaah... I'm running those on the gravel bike, must say they don't last very long, I'd probably avoid them if I was at that level in such kind of race. But if they paid my salary then... I'd just make sure to put a fresh one every day and bring spare quicklinks with 😜
  15. Their chains might be 5w slower, but they don't break 😜 Never had a problem with my shimano XTR chains though, must be my baby watts
  16. Thanks, I'll go today, hopefully we can ride there in the weekend !
  17. I'm not complaining about the live stream 🤣 I'm complaining about the broadcast being about 0% live for 2.5 hours, now it's great 😜
  18. Yoh, I have PTSD from that descent on the gravel bike in the mudd at Old Hermon
  19. mmh lots of fillers this morning 😕
  20. I think I know who it is, his garage has S-works everything : road, TT, XC (x2 apparently at the moment)
  21. how was the wait at the gate to drop off the forms ? That's the main thing keeping me from going in the middle of a work day
  22. Will be epic, looking forward to ouberg !
  23. has anyone been there recently ? is trafic still man to access the office ?
