I currently run compact with a 23-11 cassette, but am changing over to a 39/53 with a 25-11 cassette soon, the compact does not necessarily makes you faster, just a easier cycle, I tested both and the 39/53 made me cycle faster up Tiekiedraai even though the cadence was less.

Probably Alexis Sacks....she is a irritation in any bunch. At the Bouckaert Soenen beginning this year, the K group started with them....she stood next to me in her 'I' number going on about why slower (yes me and the other K) people start with them and how they done the DC in 8hours+ which was like 4 months before the race....so we start...they don't do any work and bitch about lines, felt like switching her so she can shut up...and what do we do...we attack up the hill leaving them in the back...I was drinking a beer already when they only came in.

Get about 10 normal average people and time them on 26ers and 29ers....then you will get your answer... Basically Greg proved a roadie with the right skills can kick a mtbikers ass....

It is a 3month training program, it depends which option you choose. He also personally work it out for you, I had to do a V02 Max test, give him the results, etc then he worked it out. Best is to email him and ask him directly
