  1. Sub 3. Group E What you going for Loudmac. You racing Bay City on Sun?
  2. Howsit !!! Sorry I missed you boet. See you guys on Sunday
  3. Had a very satisfying race. Vet group leaders broke away up Hels, those guys and girls are just to strong for me (this season). I sat with a smaller mix group of Vets, Masters and Ladies. I did quite a bit of work pace setting for the group up Hels, felt happy with that as previously these guys had dropped me at the top. Continued to take turns setting pace after Hels and after about an hour we caught another group of vets, again very happy with my training progression to have been able to set pace and bridge the gap. We were then caught by A-C Leaders and Tandems, I got my pacing wrong and got dropped on one of the rollers around the 1h20 mark. 3 of us formed a group that soon became 5, and then some more A-C and Tandems caught us. Nice big group now, sat and paced well with them, took some turns on the front nothing major (so as not to get dropped again). Pace picked up throuh Stellies and I kept up. Finished 2h40, 30 min better than last year. Happy with improvement, and looking forward to Bay City.
  4. That is Bloody Good Zac.A WELL DONE!!!!
  5. The problem is not the cyclist and it is not the driver, it is the egocentric - immature - emotionally challenged individual. So lets find some way to help these people.
  6. I had a good race with A Group. We passed a % group crash quite early on, some of the ladies were quiet badly hurt. From the results I see some of them did not finish. I wish them a speedy recovery leading up to Stellenbosch. B Group caught us early on, making the bunch quite big. There were probably about 4 crashes in our group which made things very nervous. Organisers should increase time between start groups in future. Riding in the rain was testing, but I think better than riding in the heat. I sat at the back of the group most of the way and was satisfied that I managed to hang on to the pace till the 3h00 mark. Unfortunately a puncture caused by hitting a pothole put an end to my bunch ride. I managed a 3h42 race time (excl puncture repair time).
  7. Well Done Tiny K You will get the timimg right. You are looking very strong on the bike
  8. I heard that one of the ladies in the Stars group went down at the bottom of Boyes, any confirmation on this?
  9. Well done Dale & Zac, pity about your dad, had a chat with him in the start chute. Weather was great. I enjoyed my race. Much better than last week. I was pleased to still have strong legs up oukaaps.
  10. Any identification on the cyclist?
  11. Thanx for checking. I also do the Mr Min and wipe.
  12. This one is gonna hurt. I can still remember a guy standing along the side of Oukaap last year crying for help due to cramps in his legs.
  13. Scary stuff guys. Good you are ok, and thanks to motorist for helping out. Does make one angry. I wish we can make these kind of acts stop.

Street address for Palm Grove Shopping centre please?
  20. Tubbies are lighter and some claim faster. I would go clinchers. Easier to repair when punctured.

  22. Assos is a great Bib shorts. I also have a Giordana, comfortable, quality and cheaper than Assos. Recently bought Castelli, also very nice, comfortable, quality.
  23. How many other guys in the Summer Stars League, in Spring there were between 10-15?
  24. High Intensity weeks will be, 1 session 3x20min @ 88-92%, 1 session 4X30s + 4X10s max sprints alternate with following week maybe 8x1min sprint and hold power for remainder of min.
  25. mmmmm......... I am pondering intentionally dropping off, when / if the pace gets too high for me, instead of hanging on till I am forced to 'leave the building', and subsequently thereafter having a worse race. I agree with all your other points re rest, training, nutrition.
