  1. Naaay! This is just so boring! Clip clop clip clop, I'm outa here
  2. I think these chicks were just horsing around So why the looong face then? You should have reined them in and given them the hoof
  3. Ah cool, I see you have patched your software to catch the spaces. But could you go back a few pages and edit the profanities out please.
  4. Ditto. What about deleteing all these hey Admin?
  5. This is very heavy: Giant TCR Advance Team 2008 (Small) ISP1245Fork 340 Small frames should be under a kg at least and don't have to be expensive either (look at planet-x or token frames). Ritchey and Easton make forks well under 300 grams, so you could cut a whopping 400grams in total on the frame and fork. Also, full carbon saddles are available at round about 85grams, you may wanna consider a change there as well. But hey, you have some awesome kit there, I would be happy with a bike under 7 kgs
  6. Jeez, what a ball ache hey?
  7. Seriously Bob, overtraining is real. Pros generally have coaches and doctors looking after them in order to keep them in good condition so that they don't overtrain. On the other hand, over zealous amateur racers and ignorant fun riders typically don't pick up the symptoms of over training until it is too late. I?m no sports scientist but my understanding is that when you train you push your body beyond its capacity and actually break it down somewhat. Rest allows your body to recover, rebuild and strengthen, so your new capacity is now slighly higher than what is was. This is an iterative process on the path of getting fitter and stronger. However, if you don?t afford your body enough time to rebuild i.e. you overtrain, then you eventually weaken your body to the point where your performance takes a fat dive ?cos your body just can?t cope with the physical demands anymore. You often very susceptible to getting sick at this stage because your immune system is also weakend. It can take a good few weeks to recover from this. Overtraining is often a result of the misconception that training makes you stronger, so the more you train the stronger you get. This is wrong. Training makes you weaker, the rest and recovery after the training makes you stronger.
  8. The only ailment you are suffering from at the moment is your quasi-intellect. You are going to be dissappointed when it gets cured
  9. You probably don't know anything about overtraining because you actually have to train before you can 'over' train. So don't let it worry you too much, you're pretty safe their Bob.
  10. Maybe you just need to warm up properly before you push hard.
  11. Very surprized it did not have a roof rack with a Canondale on it
  12. Hooray to these hackers They should be knighted not prosecuted We are being butt fcuked left right and centre by the banks. It is about time their collusion and thieving practice is exposed.
  13. The sex shop down the road sells fantastic bondage suits in polyvinyl chloride if that helps at all
  14. This Whasp stuff is the bee's knees! Excuse the pun but it does contain this propolis honey stuff. If whasp is available in reuseable squeezy tubes that will be fantastic as I can't stand the sachet thingys. They are difficult to open and squeeze when riding in a bunch at pace and they leave your hands all sticky, and if you don't want to litter then the rest of your jersey ends up sticky as well. A screw off flip top tube that can be refilled from the big bottle will be just dandy
  15. n Boer maak a plan ne! CarbonBoy2009-01-05 13:32:08
  16. On the short arse seat tube, where else? Enough space to put a short arsed 500ml bottle at least
  17. WHAT?! She get's time off from cooking and cleaning? Actually got a wife who thinks my bike is my GF, she says my bike gets more attention than she does
  18. Howzit got a quick question to ask you technical gurus out there, JB you especially. I am looking at getting a new frame. Now I am a bit of a short arse so I need a small frame. Big problem is that there is only one bottle cage mount on this frame, a real killer in our climates. Can a second bottle cage mount be added to a carbon frame and what are the associated risks with weakening and warrantee? Anyone done this before? Thanks
  19. Vets woman should be taking the kids to soccer, at book clubs or colouring their hair, not riding bicycles
  20. I agree with KonaFan's sentiments. Sharleen, forget road cycling for the time being. Road traffic nowdays is extremely intimidating, not to mention dangerous, for novices and seasoned pros alike. So start with a Mountain Bike, and if the bug bites and you want to ride road as well, or even do some road races like the 94.7, then your Mountain Bike will be quite suitable for this as well.
  21. Experienced the same thing at Suikerbosrand, especially the short loop It really gets the adrenalin pumping when you are hurtling down a descent, entering a corner only to be confronted by a couple of idiots pushing their bikes in the wrong direction. So I empathize with you there mate!
