  1. Very true, at least 10 hours, scary stuff.
  2. Did Matt's stomach issues start before the hectic climb already, or dehydration issues?
  3. True that, almost 15kg for a 50k bike regardless if its alu, eish.
  4. I am flying to Jozi tomorrow, which cycle shops might have actual stock which i can try on? Dont mind ordering online but i might as well try seeing i am there till Friday.
  5. G, can you fit a cellphone in the back of these or are those two pockets not really meant for that?
  6. Shot bud, enjoy really do make awesome stuff, wish I was in CPT, but I see they have some sort of free returns, thanx man.
  7. Thanx bud, this is what I need to hear.
  8. Thanx Chad, forgot to add, must have a pack pocket, I use that all the time.
  9. Hi guys, i am looking for short sleeve trail shirts for those chilled rides where i don't want to zip up. I have scoured the web, i see Vye has one or two, trailtech, buycyle, bike addict etc...but almost all are out of stock. The Leatt ones i see look awesome, nice cut, v neck, not overly long sleeves, basically like a good sport shirt, cool graphics and the rubber sticky on the back bottom area so it does not creep up, well, that's what i gather. Are the trail shirts normal or tight fit, or do they differ? I am looking for a normal fit. I will keep on googling and see who has what, bit difficult to order clothes like this but so many bike shops don't have stock, stock is still a massive issue across the product range board. I am 1.87m, 34 waist, your average Jo 😉 So i gather i could look at a Large? I found a bunch i liked on bike addict, emailed them to ask whether sizes are in stock, will see if they reply Monday. Any advise on where to look, what to order. As long as they are lightweight, cool, standard fit, then i recon i should be fine.
  10. I also hope they click. It looked like Robyn took a bit of strain on last years Epic, mostly on the climbs. Really hope they are both dialed in, can make an explosive team if so.
  11. Hey Rudolph, by the way, what Giant pedals, the new Pinner pro or Pinner ones? They look so cool.
  12. Thanx V, not sure if its the thickness of padding that causes this or the actual padding itself, how its placed, stitched etc...I might check and compare them when i am home later to actually see what differences i can spot.
  13. Hi everyone Wonder if anyone has had the same issues. First off, i am a huge Ciovita fan, there website, user interface, service and delivery, product range, all of it is top shelf. However, my wife is struggling with pain, numbness in 'that' area. I bought her the navy bibs corsa 2 a few months ago. After 5km she already complains. She has the spez mimmik sadle, bike fit, set up, all 100%. She then tried her older giant liv bibs, no probs at all. Has anyone, woman, had discomfort from corsa 2 bibbs as well? It is actually such a pitty as she loves the brand, she has matching tops, but if its not working for her so be it. Keen to hear views.
  14. I am no racing snake, my wife and i normally do 30 to 40km races. We try hard to come in the top 15 in our age group. When its our group's turn to start, all the e bikes are with us. 99% of the e bike riders are either way over weight or much older, no disrespect please. So you get to the first long climb, you in granny gear, and almost all the e bike riders fly up past you. It kind of deflates a person, my wife especially. On a few of the races i actually saw e bike riders high fiving each other, congratulating each other how they basically came first in the group. One even got podium, before the announcer realized she was on an e bike, promptly informed her and she had to leave so that the first 'real' non e bike rider walked up and took first place. I honestly dont have issues against e bikes, they get older or over weight peeps into riding, and thats great, but in actual races, not so sure. At the end of the day its about feeling a sense of accomplishment, i did it!, i made it!, now lets drink beer! I don't get the point of a e bike rider doing races and just using full battery power all the way. Yes i know they also get a work out, but that's just my 2 cents. I think if you had a complete section or group just for them, they will actually work harder and compete like for like. Ultimately its really not the end of the world for me, i will continue to do races whether its with or without them.
  15. Hi J, a few questions, the enjoy reptilia, it actually looks nice, value for money. How is the fabric, smooth, lightweight, or more hard core. Reason why, i fitted on a pair of spez atlas pro shorts, they one size to small, but man o man, they are silky, lightweight, stretchy, but they dont make these anymore.
  16. Hi Chad, i tried that as well, in fact, i replaced my dmr v12 pins with smoother edged ones, not so aggressive, cant recall if i did set it like you said, but to be honest, most of the pins are really overkill, way to much grip / effort just to shift your feet slightly. This is why i am looking at stiffer soles. You feel it much less.
  17. Thanx Chad, well then i guess i must look at the 3's then, stiff is always good 🤗
  18. Popped in at LBS this morning, i saw the Leatt DB Shoes, version 1 and 2, man o man, those 2's have stiff soles. I cant believe how stiff they are compared to my current five tens. Then again, did my five tens arrive brand new, as stiff, i dont think so. So far the leatt is now ticking my boxes, just need to find my size. Very impressed with build quality, look and feel. Wonder if the version 3's are the same, just as stiff.
  19. Also tried out the large stamp 2's a while back, they felt 'flat' if this makes sense, no concave, guess i was spoilt with concaves, i just feel more comfy and in control on concaves. Think the Oneup is also flat-ish, not sure, never tried them.
  20. Hi Pieter, its taking a big chance importing, they all different sizes. I ordered / imported my second pair of five tens from the UK, like 2 years ago, same size as my old ones, so i knew they would fit.
  21. Thanx J, not cheap at all, but I am willing to give this a go.
  22. The roost versions or version 2 are flat, non clip. But if they flexy then I will pass.
  23. Hi guys, another related question, mtb baggy shorts, non padded, in navy blue, where do I start looking, size medium. Will fit these over my ciovita bibs.
