Whatever you do don't leave it in with the locktite and hope for the best I broke 2 ribs because of the very same thing ...... over time it worked loose and came out just enough to lock the front wheel on the way down the rock garden at Rietvlei I have been riding that frontwheel with just 5 bolts for a long time and no issue, I am sure that the hub 'ekspets' will come and tell me why I shouldn't but ja whateva

Sometimes it is because the cable is not releasing nicely within the outer if that makes sense

I love my 500, it also looks much better on a road bike than a 305/705 .... having said that the 305 has a feature or 2 that is better than the 500 despite it's disadvantage in size! When you warranty a 305 with a 500 they actually tell you that the 500 is a 'slight' downgrade in features
