  1. That would explain all the sub 3 Argus results he manage to accomplish during the years. Now all he's friends will know he is a cheat and that none of his previous accomplishments means a thing
  2. Thats a gamble he is willing to take. I just want to help him get the best bikes that if they don't ride the bikes, can sell again without to much loss. Like the Anthems
  3. Any suggestions?
  4. Price?
  5. Got a friend who is interested in starting mountain biking with his wife. Please take note that not one of them has ever ridden more than 5km on a bicycle. He asked me to help them search for bikes. He does not want to buy entry level bikes and want something that they do not need to upgrade in a year. The thing is he wants to buy/looking at a GT Marathon Team Carbon 2010 with SLR wheels, 3 × 9 XTR groupo. Here is the specs : http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2010&brand=GT&model=Marathon+Carbon+Team The price is R25k and the bike is new. For his wife he wants/looking at a GT Marathon Expert Carbon with 3 × 9 SLX Spec.Wheelset is Mavic Crossride. Also new. Both of the bikes is 26" wheel sizes. Is it wrong for me to suggest to him to buy a Giant Anthem 29er or similar and for her something else? I know the GT's is not bad bikes but the surely for that amount he can something better/newer ?

  17. Need some advice. Going to Jhb for the long weekend and thinking of taking my SS to Northern Farms. My friends there all have geared bikes and want me to join them. Is Northern Farms suited for a SS with lots of twists and turns or is flat roads that will make me spin out? Edit : My setup is 32:18
  18. Good luck, wish I was fit enough!
  19. Did the ultra last year. Was in the best shape of my life and it was the hardest race I have ever ridden. So good luck to anyone that enters this monster. I'm now in the worst shape in two years so will be riding the shorter one.
  20. Hehe, not with my maar gat. Jyt bietjie meer isolasie as ek
  21. Thanks, not usually this clean. Thats why I love this bike so much. Next to zero maintenance and cheap to service.
  22. Here's my pride and joy. Recently upgraded the wheelset and I'm very happy with the Spinergys. The pimping is not done yet. Still want to add gold chainring bolts, gold headset spacers, a gold seatpost clamp and a white saddle.
  23. Sorry to hear man, it is a terrible thing and good luck to you. Here is a picture for you that helped me get trough putting my dog down not so long ago.
