think that may be the difference. I have a old pair of Raleigh shoes that I rode/walked my first two Trans Baviaans with and I do all of my training rides with them. They have done more that 10times the distance as the Scott shoes and still going strong

The other day I was running with my two of my dogs. They suddenly picked up pace and I thought they were just enjoying themselves. All of a sudden I saw what the increase in pace was about.....a couple of Dassies. With a sudden pull to the right and with them trying to catch the Dassies, I was in the bushes lying on my back.

Depends on your fitness. If you are running a 26-39 and you feel that you don't ever use the lowest gear ratio (36-26) when climbing and that it is to easy to climb in that ratio, then get a 28-42. It will be harder to climb in this ratio.

Hi Hubbers Take a look at the pics. This is my Scott Shoes that's about 16 months old and as you can see in very good condition. I only use them for racing. At Clarens the other day I felt something wrong with my left shoe cleat. After inspection I found this crack at the bottom. Now the question is, is it normal for shoes to do this or must I try and contact someone from Scott S.A? Cause surely if these shoes can only go 1500km, then it is better to go and buy better quality shoes?
