  1. Where is the sealant leaking out?
  2. Been there, done that. Not worth the effort.
  3. Maybe a good idea. But you will be able to tell if it is Stans (white liquid) in your tyre or not. Also if the old sealant is watery, clean it out and put new ones in.
  4. Is the new rim already converted to tubeless? If yes, just take the tyre of the old rim and if their is sealant left in the tyre leave it in. If their is little or no sealant left, just top up with Stans. To seat the new tyre on the rim, just put it on and use a compressor to inflate it. The trick is to inflate the tyre at a rapid speed to let the tyre pop in to place. If the air keeps on escaping on the sides, spray some sunlight liquid on the places were air is leaking out. You will also need valve adapter to convert the presta to a schredder valve to be able to use a compressor. If you are lucky you can try and inflate the tyre with a normal cycling pump
  5. Definitely a scam site, if not, then I will be ordering myself 2 Cannondale Trigger Carbons 1's today!
  6. And that is the million dollar question
  7. Batman Adventures in Texas Fascinated by American culture and by the state of Texas, the French photographer Remi Noël invites us to discover a series of images taken Houston to Dallas, often featuring a figurine of Batman, traveling companion of the artist. One set with black & white very successful to discover images in the future. http://www.fubiz.net...tures-in-texas/
  8. With you on this, irritates the hell out of me when people rant about helmets on thehub. Leave them be, if I or anyone else choose to ride without a helmet then it is our problem. It's the same as riding in a boat on the river without a life jacket. Are the helmet police going to rant about that too? Each to it's own.
  9. Here is a old gem I rediscovered the other day
  10. I use a wireless Polar Cs600 and the sensor is on my back wheel. Or you can use a gps unit
  11. Whats been going on? I choose not to get involved or read threads that are pointless. Mostly it is a bunch of keyboard warriors with no social life and too much time on their hands. Thehub is still the same to me with great people and great advice and classifieds. You dont have to get involved or read some of the nonsense people write.
  12. See the entries is closed. Can't believe how this event just keeps on getting more and more popular each year. They first need to count all the entries to see if there is a couple more available.
  13. Shame man, how many are left?
  14. Recently got involved with Husky Rescue in Bloemfontein. At the moment it is only a guy and he's wife looking after 13 Husky's on their own expense. Yesterday I got my first phone call to go and pick up a Husky at a homeless shelter that was hit by a car. On the phone it sounded bad as they told me the dogs leg, hip and back is damaged. The dog could only walk on three legs and was badly dehydrated when I picked him up. Took him to the vet and luckily nothing was broken. After some pain medication, a good meal, lots of water and sleep, he is running around this morning as if nothing had happened. Currently staying with me and hopefully we can find he's owner or a good home.
  15. Wow, only saw this thread this morning. Looks really good.

    Bombs & stans

Thats a great idea. you sure the CO2 does not react immediately with the sealant?

    Bombs & stans

    +1
  18. Extreme lights is the way to go
  19. No obviously not. I carry one for emergencies. And only used it twice, and not for my bike. If your sealant is enough and you have a couple of plugs to plug big holes and sidewall cuts, you will never need to use a lever. Never mind three, maybe get better quality tire levers?
  20. Just entered and going for number 4. Can't wait!!!
  21. If you are lucky you will be able to seal it again with a large volume CO2 bomb. It all depends on the tire and the rim. Some tires you will have no problem, but some Tubeless ready / tubeless tires you will need a compressor and a little bit of time and luck. Easiest way is to put a tube in and ride to the closest checkpoint / bike shop to help you fit the tire again.
  22. Or you can use the spare one to open your beer
  23. Why two levers?
  24. The extra weight on my head irritates the hell out of me especially when riding on rocky terrain . I also see better with the light on my handlebar. Only ride with a small and light Led Lenser H7, I think, on my helmet.
