  1. Most likely too big. I'm 1.85m and was fairly comfy on a medium Schwinn. (currently riding a L Commencal FS, but the horizontal top tube length isn't much longer)
  2. Think I've seen the straps at places like Hyperama/Game/Makro. Any supermarket that sells bikes normally has them.
  3. Cool, thanks Sean. Edit: 100% correct, they are the new Agents. Thanks.lurker2009-06-25 04:48:32
  4. Hi If anyone knows who the agents are for Salomon in SA, please let me know. I need to contact them to find out who stocks Salomon Hydration packs other than Cape Storm. thanks, Lurker..
  5. Yup, I'm in that one. Last guy still on his bike on the left hand side, getting ready to join the pile. Busy checking out the softest looking mattress to land on.. Wasn't much fun.. Trust me, that grass bank was very steep & very high in that area. Bunnyhopping wasn't an option.. Only funny part was the guy taking an early dive 50m back up the road on the middle right. lurker2009-06-23 08:50:05

Not sure what you're trying to find out, but think you need to split your last option. Some little shorty 5'9 guy shouldn't be grouped with 6'3+ beanpoles.
  7. ummm, no paid advertising = no thehubsa.. There actually are costs involved to keep the Hub in existance, someone else's mom doesn't just pay for it!
  8. Not a bad idea, but why not just pay for some banner advertising like some of the other shops/suppliers?
  9. Another good related article written by Dr Schwellnus is available here: http://knol.google.com/k/martin-schwellnus/muscle-cramping/TtPbefpe/gYUTkw# Scroll down until you get to the section on Exercise Associated Muscle Cramps (EAMC) (Warning, it's a fairly technical read.)lurker2009-04-01 04:09:01
  10. For a standard 700x23C road tyre that's very soft! I normally pump mine to around 7-8bar
  11. Think buying a helmet locally so that you're covered by the crash replacement policy might be worth the extra cost.
  12. Or contact Grant @ Multezone http://www.multezone.co.za/contactUs.aspx Think they're in parklands.
  13. BMT in Stellies. 021 887 3417
  14. I tried a WTB Pure-V for a while, then moved to the SDG which I'm finding more comfy, but agree that the Pure-V isn't bad at all.
  15. You might unfortunately find that the twist grips replicate the paddling grip that caused your issues. Have you tried a combination of shifting the position of the shifters & brake levers on your bars along with getting some Ergon like bar grips? Other option would be to switch to Shimano dual action levers, but then you have to change your brakes also..
  16. Hey Hairy, I've been riding an Arione on my road bike for ages, I find it very comfy. I bought a DS mtb last year which came with a SDG Bel Air and so far I've found it super comfy. Did a few 3hrs rides with it & no problems. Haven't done any really long rides yet tho.
  17. Bit harsh don't you think, since JB was asked to comment.
  18. ..sorry double postlurker2009-03-26 14:36:41
  19. Do yourself a favour and go to Rapid sports in town & get a pair of their winter arm warmers & leg warmers. Well priced & work very well. While you're there, get a thermal vest they're great! http://www.rapidsport.co.za/contact.html
  20. Yup, couldn't agree more. If you're also trying to loose a few kgs through the training, it's not going to be helped by using gels etc.lurker2009-03-24 02:32:17
