  1. Can a moderator please delete this thread, its giving me a headache......
  2. How about I apologise on behalf of the retailer and we can move on to cycling related discussion. (print it and you will have it in writing)
  3. a price of R0.00 is clearly an error, but if something is marked with an incorrect price and is a bargain but not so much that it is unbelieveable I would contest it. example 1 : if Product x usually sells for R100 and marked at R70 (and they say its an error) I would contest it. example 2: if Product x usually sells for R100 and marked at R10 (and they say its an error) I would accept it as such. (Unless its front page headlines as a killer deal) I guess for me the rule of the "reasonable man" would apply. My assesment of the above issue: Walk away while you still can.........its clearly an error.......
  4. If you are just starting out with Power training, buy the groupset and a powercal HR based power meter. Not as accurate as a hub or crank powermeter, but gives you 90%+ accuracy which will be perfect for where you are. Best of both worlds.
  5. if you have sintered pads then the issue is likley rotors. go 180mm front and 160mm back. Go ICE TEC and you will be amazed....
  6. Ok, so who really cares what the company is called, however I do have to wonder how much this new company knows about the industry if they have never heard of Dark Horse Wheels? Really? I am not "in" the industry and I know all about Dark Horse Wheels........ Anyway if Dark Horse wheels challenge them they are in pole position to win the case as they have used the name for a significant period of time within the cycling industry and are well known (except to the the new Trek distributor). Dark Horse cosmetics etc etc are not relevant as they do not operate in the same industry and I highly doubt that they would even object or that their registration is even in the same category.........Its just good business practice to avoid these issues and conflicts.... Hands up all hubbers who have heard of Dark Horse Wheels?? Oh yes, one other thing, If Dark Horse Wheels knows about an infringement on their trademark and do not challenge it, they may loose the right to keep it............thats assuming they have registered "Dark Horse Wheels" as a trademark and not just as a CC..... I see a race to the registration office as we speak...........
  7. Um, there are Thule racks and other racks. You answered your own question when you said you dont want the rack to fall off your car........Thule or nothing, my humble opion...(and yes I have watsed money on other rubbish)
  8. and the usual..."never heard of it, never took it, dont know how it ended up in my system"..............
  9. Made sense and then they ruin it with their final statement......
  10. Ice cold chocolate Super M x2. It goes down like a home sick mole.
  11. Really dissapointed at the lack of response..... oh well, lets see if Route 66 gets it right this weekend. Who's there for the 3 days?
  12. Silverback owners are not a sensitive bunch at all. The majority of people here on the hub have heard all the stories of the superb after sales service Silverback offers. Second to none. In my opinion, they have, on occasions been too accomodating to certain claims.
  13. That was an insanely hard day out. Glad we only took on that route as a "training" ride and not racing. It took lots of willpower not to cross that finish line after the marathon and continue to finish the Ultra. Mud was insane, nothing the organisers can do about that. No water at the top of Thin Air climb - not acceptable. Glad to see the route merged again over the last few km through single track. The poor slower rider in front of us tried to go faster even though we told him to relax and eventually he lost it and crashed. Not fair for any of the riders - I guess we should just accept this is how races end. The rest was ok, not great for a race of this stature. I wont be trekking down to Sabie.
  14. Almost time for a road trip
  15. Now that you have those Spez comps have a BG fit asap to make sure you have the right type of insole for your foot arch, shims if needed to align your knees and your cleats placed in the corrrect position. It can make a good fitting shoe, GREAT.
