  1. Not going to F-ing happen
  2. Lucy-fer thinks she's going with to SA Tri-Champs in Bloem this weekend.....
  3. I was hoping to see 50100 signs that Vettel and the Aston were going to be a threat. Instead I saw 500 reasons why they sadly won't be. Oh well - I should probably have bet on Sergio - he looks like he's going to be the reason for a lot of bottom-lip dragging from Max
  4. I remember he used to regularly call Jacques Villeneuve Gilles. And then James Hunt would have to say, "No, Murray, that's Jacques Villeneuve...."
  5. https://www.m-shop.nl/en/honda-parts.html Apparently this is the place you will be shopping at a lot now!
  6. I mate of mine had one of those at school. I seem to recall the Tornado part was a little optimistic :-) We did play a bit with it though and it got a but better - more strong gust of wind than Tornado though!
  7. Yup! But I think I have more chance of getting the $100 000 000 that my deceased Uncle who I never knew I had and somehow lived in Nigeria left to me in his will. But then I think of the R10 000 000 someone won when they tipped Leicester City to win the EPL when no-one gave them a chance in hell and I dare to dream a bit!

I saw a few comments that BB had a go on it too. I wonder what his opinion was?
  9. I can think of 50500 reasons why I'm hoping he does really well

And you needed to have Keith Heuwen and Julian Ryder commentating too. That was the best era!
  11. He most definitely does! https://www.topgear.com/car-news/motorsport/gallery-modern-f1-cars-retro-liveries#1
  12. Unfortunately, I'm now waiting for Yamaha to deliver the last of the parts - not even I, who has "people on the Inside" can speed things up. So this is what we do now.... smell the smoke, and upset the neighbours!
  13. In my experience it would seem like it. We regularly race the TTT's with 3 riders in one room and the two ANT+ trainers always seem to drop but my Bluetooth one doesn't. But if you read the articles all of them say that ANT+ should be more stable. I really don't know
  14. Here's a bit of interesting help for those who might want to try it.... I use a TACX trainer with a Laptop with built-in Bluetooth and I must admit I hardly ever have dropouts on Zwift. My wife on the other hand uses a Laptop without Bluetooth so she has to use the TACX ANT+ stick that came with the old Vortex Trainer and she regularly has dropouts. Never fear says I, and I bought her a Bluetooth dongle. Works on everything, apart from Zwift. I do some reading and asking and everyone says Zwift doesn't recognize a Bluetooth dongle and sorry but it doesn't work etc, etc, etc. So I'm chatting to our IT guy at work and he suggests I download a file called vc_redistx64.exe I do that last night, and presto, suddenly Zwift now sees the trainer on Bluetooth. I'm no IT expert so my explanation here might be inaccurate, but as I understand from our IT guy Zwift was designed needing that file if you want to use a Bluetooth dongle. But Zwift won't tell you that for some reason - he said it should have given some sort of message saying it needed it. Anyway, long story short, if your laptop doesn't have Bluetooth and you buy a dongle, go and download that file if you want Zwift to see it.
  15. Maybe those blasted disk brakes were rubbing again....
  16. Definitely - always fun seeing how projects progress
  17. Yup that one. I loved Ford vs Ferrari, but this one showed that not everything quite happened in the order of the Hollywood film - I suppose a bit of artistic licence was used
  18. Not strictly F1 but car-related. Wife was out on a ladies night last night so I watched the Carroll Shelby documentary on Netflix. Well worth watching - I really enjoyed it!
  19. No ****! I had a good bike but yesterday's interval set caught me on the run and I struggled to get my pace up - was pushing for 4:45's but in the words of our famous Vegan: "Not going to F-happen"
  20. oops sorry - was a non-hub day! Yup - but I guess from your reply below you got it sorted!
  21. An Alpin-a....
  22. Signed up already
  23. I told my wife the other day to "Quiet Coyote" while simultaneously making the symbol. I almost joined the world of souls.....
  24. https://www.bikeperfect.com/features/why-are-brakes-still-steel-and-not-carbon-fibre So then - going on what this article lists as the reasons carbon disks wont work on a MTB, could the deduction then be made that given the heat issues regarding the higher speeds on Road bikes, carbon would be a better alternative on a road bike?
  25. Was the big start this weekend. In my stash of spares I have two Bosson systems for DT125LC's - I took the tailpiece of the one and fitted it to the 175. It might be a bit long but I'll ride it a bit and see - I can always shorten it a bit if it's knocked off too much top-end. Sounds the business though! Best part was that at some stage someone must have been running the 125 that it was on either with Castrol R40 or more likely just castor oil in the fuel. So when I was silver-soldering the bend from the old silencer to the Bosson silencer, the residual oil was burning and making the garage smell like an MX track from the 80's. Lovely!
