Pretty much all the current 2017 trainers will work with the likes so Zwift, TrainerRoad and CycleOps Virtual Training to name a few. Zwift is really popular and falls inline with what most of the apps charge (US $ 10.00 / mth per user). The apps can be purchased online via the preferred brand / app web page. The smart trainers should also connect up to a Garmin if you have one, so all the data is in the same place. This is assume you data obsessed, else if you simply want to ride the routes and get some secret training in that's fine by us trainer-apps-guide.html I suppose at the end of the day all "SMART" trainers are much of a muchness and it will be personal preference / stock availability / best deal at the time of purchase.

Hey guys, out of interest..... what would be a good deal on a Fluid 2 trainer with a dual ANT+ / BLE speed & cadence sensor ?? I am sure we can put together a bundle if there is enough of a demand. The drastic price reduction of smart trainers however always makes it hard decision between a Fluid with speed / cadence and the like of a Magnus @ R9 995.00

If you have the cash have a look at the PowerTap P1 @ R18 995.00 or P1S (single sided) @ R11 995.00 pedals. The pedals will pick up cadence and power and that is all that is really need to get Zwift, CVT or TrainerRoad working. The P1 / P1S pedals do not require calibration on install and are like a normal set of pedals, install and forget. Get thing is they can also be used on your road bike on the weekends......

So Zwift has finally arrived to the iOS platform...... Who's download it and given it a go ?? As iOS does not naturally receive ANT+ data at this point it seems they (Zwift) only seem to support BLE 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy). What also is pretty cool is that if one has an active subscription on their PC / Mac this subscription is linked to the user profile so can easily be activated on iOS without any additional costs.

The guys at Token have been very helpful and it seems we would be able to get you black bladed spokes (Sapim) for R50.00 / spoke. Total costing will be R8 645.00 built with bladed spokes.

What Token wheels do you have ?? We will need to try find the ERD to calculate spokes and then see who has and at what pricing.....

Yes you will need new spokes, the R25.00 quoted is for round double butted spokes. if you want bladed be prepared to pay anything from R75.00 - R125.00 / spoke. The existing spokes we unfortunately unable to use as the lengths are different. The GS hub makes use of straight pull spokes.
