  1. This is correct, you can set the trainer to a target power or target grade and the trainer will control the resistance via Rouvy or TrainerRoad.
  2. IC 400 is a 2.4Ghz wireless network i.e. ANT not ANT+ so this means it will not work with your Garmin as a power meter. The new Phantom 5 is ANT+ so will work with your Garmin as a power meter it is also BLE compatible and will work with Rouvy and TrainerRoad but will not work with Zwift.
  3. The above video is correct however if running an ANT+ / BLE (dual) power cap please see below. https://www.powertap.com/support/firmware-history You will either use Rouvy or the PowerTap app to update the power cap via BLE. Any issues please call us on 011-023-2777
  4. That is strange.... Let us try going to the Saris.com web page as per below. Then if you don't mind scroll down to product support then select the product manual. https://www.saris.com/product/eu-thelma-3 I see this also does not work. Please can you drop us a PM with your e-mail and i will e-mail you the usual manual. Clearly seems that the internet is not on our side.
  5. Have a look at the manual found below and point # 7 on how to tighten the Saris Thelma 3's tension when clamped onto the towball. If you need any further assistance please give us a call - 011-023-2777 https://www.saris.com/uploads/PDF/Manuals/Thelma_Euro/Euro-Thelma.pdf
  6. The older PowerTap G3 hubs with ANT+ only PowerCaps will need to be plugged in to a PC and updated via PowerAgent. Milky4130 has done a great job in sharing the video. If you struggling to come right please try a different USB cable or different USB port. If you still don't come right please make sure you have the latest version of PowerAgent (download off www.powertap.com) If you still don't come right please mail us on info(at)bicyclepower.co.za or 011-023-2777
  7. We offer the 20 / 24" wheel adapters and a locking cable can be purchased, considering the saving of the bike rack the additional R600 for a locking cable really does not seem to break the bank.

  14. Thanks Jaco.... We hope to spread the CycleOps love a little more with our new "smart" trainers. We are grateful for all the feedback we get from hubbers, good and bad. You guys motivate us to improve our service offerings. Keep an eye out more exciting things to come from us over the coming weeks.
  15. Great, just be careful with thinners that you do not remove the black colouring off the square black tape on the actual resistance unit roller (part where the bike tyre runs against the trainer).
  16. Hey guys what SkinnyOne said usually sorts the problem out..... We find that normal road tires are actually better than IDT tyres from a "grip" and sound perspective. Please give us a shout if you don't come right.
  17. Hi Carrera4s, Unfortunately the CycleOps PowerSync is not ANT-FEC so will not link up with the likes of Garmin. Our new Hammer direct drive trainer and Magnus (wheel on) trainer will be both ANT-FEC and BLE compatible so these will integrate with your Garmin. ETA on both the Hammer and Magnus is towards the end of the year.
  18. That is correct :-) This special deal includes delivery to your door at no extra cost :-)
  19. We are always here for when you need assistance with anything- we a call away or a mail drop away :-)

  23. Joeboy the Phantom 5 works off both signals, ANT+ as well as BLE. Independent of one another. So if you are wanting to use an IOS device you now can without having to purchase a Wahoo ANT+ key. Download the app and off you go.
  24. Our CycleOps Phantom 5 would in our view be the next step up on a watt bike as it would be classified as a "smart / interactive" trainer having the controlled resistance function in order to simulate route profiles or complete structured workouts, our CycleOps Phantom 3 would be similar to that of a watt bike in that is a "dumb" trainer with a built in Power Meter. while these "dumb" trainers can integrate with the likes of Zwift, TrainerRoad, CycleOps Virtual Training like other "dumb" trainers will not simulate the demands of a route profile. the likes of the Phantom 5, PowerSync, Hammer (Coming Soon), Kickr etc are all smart trainers and will simulate route profiles, this is great fun and makes the training more engaging and demanding in some cases. the biggest differential the watt bike offers is pedal stroke, the ability to get L:R and pedal stroke analysis. in order to get this from the CycleOps / PowerTap products one would need the P1 pedals, this will provide very similar feedback. if one is not to obsessed by pedal stroke and simply looking for an enjoyable indoor training session then in our opinion the Phantom 5 is more suited.
  25. as the hammer is only expected to arrive in sept and given our exchange rate situation fluctuating a R2 500 variance is possible by the time stock arrives hence i have said between 20 - 25k if we look on the positive side you all would be smilling at 20k would you not ?? !!
