Both are great events, it would be difficult to choose a better one.
Sani is more scenic, has more flowy singletrack.
Berg is slightly more technical, and arguably has a better camp vibe
If I had to, would choose Berg by a whisker.
Re size when buying on-line: search for a few reviewa on youtube etc, a good reviewer will sy if the shoe is true to size or not.

I canibalized some parts from my my Merckx to get this C50 rolling. It still has to go to the LBS to fit a different headset and cut the steerer.

I had great success in 🤬 myself up. Had motivation, dedication and discipline, went through many overtrained and under feuled phases which all ended in illness and/or injury. I never got the balance right, needed a coach to mangage it.
Ive struggled with a few things holding up the build - crisis at work and some supply issues. A packet of crank bolts from Chainreaction had 5x bolts and 3x nuts, for example. Also want to get the fork cut at the LBS. Soon!
