  1. Err, I suspect Mike The Bike is from Bikesafe!
  2. Does this mean the price has come down to an acceptable level?
  3. Came across your handiwork yesterday evening. Nice.
  4. 1, 2, 3...Google is your friend. Lots of stuff on YouTube.
  5. And I'm sure Jeep is happy as well! Who knows-he might get a free Jeep when he turnes 18!

    Stolen Bikes

We all know we should insure our stuff but times are tough and not everybody can afford it. All my kit plus four bikes are insured so yea, if it gets stolen I know I'll be ok but I still feel for the guys who aren't insured.
  7. There were about five or six guys riding together that I saw so it wasn't you. Managed to replace the slats yesterday afternoon. The thought of anybodies front wheel disappearing between the slats is a bit scary.
  8. Makes you a guy that likes ladies.
  9. I think I came across you guys yesteday near the Scout Hall! A freight train! Bit of a coincidence but I hope to replace the slats today or tomorrow time permitting.
  10. I have the Park Tool "Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repairs". Great book and nicley laid out. http://www.parktool.com/product/big-blue-book-of-bike-repair-second-edition-BBB-2 Not sure where you are located but Solomon's in Woodmead have them.
  11. And you can vote up to 3o times! It's a joke.
  12. Thanks Grebel. Have you used Dealextreme before? How are they?
  13. How much were they?
  14. This also happened to me although I don't think the air leaked out of my tyre/rim as quick as yours from what you describe but it wasn't too long before my tyre was flat again. The idea to inflate the tyre before you add sealant is to make sure the tyre bead settles against the rim properly. I added the tyre sealant and shook and rolled the tyre as per the video and pretty soon all the air stopped leaking and the pressure held. In the end it's well worth the effort.
  15. Have you tried with compressed air at the local garage? I also had problems the first time untill I used compressed air to get the beads to sit.
  16. Welcome. Of course you can do it although I suggest you sart your training pretty soon!
  17. One thing I find that's invaluable in my cycling kit is a good foot pump with a decent gauge. You will be surprised at what pressure you think you are pumping your tyres to to the actual pressure. I often change my pressure to the type of riding I do and with a foot pump it's quick and easy. I also do road and pumping my tyres to 110PSi by hand is a joke!
  18. What pressure do you pump your tyres to?
  19. My guess is that it is being sent by Royal Mail so no tracking number! And with past experience with Royal Mail it can take ages to get here although I think most of the problem is with the local PO.
  20. I presume this is the guy on the 29"? Lots of space when I overtook him-lucky me! The way he was zigzaggig I recon he did 50 km on the 40 km route.
  21. Suggest you buy your own number and board for R35 and I doubt you will have this problem in the future. I've had my own board for more than a year, used it for numerous races and never had a problem with results. All your emergency details are also on the back of the board-easy to access if you have a bad accident. Cheap at the price!
  22. When is the closing date for entries?
  23. The Pro Shop is a dangerous place to vist during their annual sale. Your wallet seems to empty itself for no apparent reason. I recently bought myself the new TaylorMade Burner irons and they're awesome.
  24. I have the new one and I find it very comfortable and more importantly, I haven't had any problems with incorrect HR readings.
