  1. For some reason I've never 'loved' the look of the Spitty and I'm firm of the belief you need to totally get giddy about your ride when you walk up to it.... but that Prime. Jeez that looks incredible in the Alu, saw it the other day and it was awesome. Want to wrangle a test ride.
  2. And it's... well.. square looking!
  3. Blue and gold... now that is pimp!
  4. Big linkage change from those guys, wonder what the rational was for that... apart from vertical shocks are so hot right now. Can't wait to see if Stoke will have any demo models!
  5. Having poured over that review it sounds an amazing bike but maybe not for day to day SA conditions*. Will wait for the feedback on the new smuggler before any of my current rides head to the classifieds! *disclaimer: that sane logic doesn't do anything to wrestle the 'WANT IT' gene into submission every time I look at it!
  6. $1999 for frame alone.. roughly R25k. with the shock. Not too bad.
  7. Just in time for summer! #winning
  8. Now, that is the start of something special!
  9. Awesome... especially as I managed to use my current Rapide bars in combination with a large rock to stop my bike on Sunday. Tuesday purchase on the way.
  10. Phew... not great at all but also alot great'r than it could have been. When I read your comment about it coming off I just had to go and hug my bikes and tell them it was going to be okay! Still a beauty of a bike tho!

  12. First Ride Review is in... http://www.bikemag.com/gear/mountain-bikes/first-ride-transition-sentinel/
  13. Ohhhhh..... it's time. It IS time!
  14. What did they make better'er on one of the best'est?
  15. If anyone is still interested in the spec's of the new Sentinel, Patrol, Scout and Smuggler then MBUK have collated the deets here: http://www.mbr.co.uk/news/bike_news/transition-sentinel-364397 EDIT: That's odd, they've edited the page from earlier and deleted and the geo' stats and images of the 2018 Patrol, Scout and Smuggler. Maybe they got their wrists slapped.
  16. Always worth a revisit.
  17. Great feature on Colombian cycling.
  18. With miles saying that Trannys 'feel bottomless' I'm not sure where this is going to end!
  19. I've never really thought about it on any of my Trannys. To be honest if I'd thought about it logically I wouldn't have bought a Smuggler. 115mm at the back & 140mm up front and a 29'r? Not my kind of numbers but you know what, Transition make fricking good bikes that just rail and work. Kudos to them for doing things a bit different (like releasing bike with slightly less travel than just upping the numbers each year) and making bikes that are great fun and despite the norms. I'm super interested in that sentinel and holding thumbs for the frame only pricing to come through in the next few days... but then the would mean I'd have to give up my Smuggler and I'm not too sure I'm ready for that.
  20. What? If someone had built a road in there?? That would be weird.

  22. Just ditch that pesky dropper post, install a rigid one and the strap on a couple of Triathlon under seat bottle holders and you're set. or... http://forums.mtbr.com/attachments/components/1026561d1446672686-diy-water-bottle-cage-mtb-100_0196a.jpg
  23. Probably with a free Bell Helmet!
  24. Cool, do you get a free Eagle Groupset and a pair of carbon wheels with it as well?
