  1. Can't see a Dragon sports contact numbers and the dealer list doesn't seem to want to load. Any other contact details for someone at Giant who can give me a straight answer?
  2. Yes but if you buy a frame and not an entire bike how does that affect the warranty?
  3. Do you know if there are any issues with regards to your warrenty on the frame if running a longer fork...it is only 2cm.
  4. Good Point....not sure but will check.
  5. Anyone tried this? Seen a few bits and pieces on the net about people doing this and being very happy with a bit more travel on the front. Any hubber opinions?
  6. See here for article http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/100-year-old-sets-cycling-hour-record-mark-33217 I would love to still be in the saddle at 100!
  7. If you're really itching to spend some cash on it then go tubeless first - you will want to spend longer on the bike (not off it fixing punctures). The forks are a good idea, a decent airshock (don't know what is on yours now) will allow you to hold more daring lines. In reality you're going to get bitten by the bug, start selling vital organs/children/business laptops etc, to get the cash to buy your dream machine within a couple of years. So put a poster up of your desired toy, save the cash and ride lots.
  8. Any ideas? Both machines get amazing ratings and writeups on BikeRadar. Fuel seems developed for harder trail but weighs the same as the anthem which is a trail/XC race demon apparently. Opinions? Both sell for the same sort of price second hand too.
  9. Thanks, I'd like to try both drops onto flats and drops onto slopes. Both are good practice and should get me a little more confident. what I'm looking for is some practice in getting my weighting on the bike correct. Then I can start hitting things at speed. Its a very different beast to my hardtail.
  10. Well i'll give it a shot, going to get some platforms for the pedals so I can play without being clipped in first. Where's this car park?
  11. Just started playing with my new trail toy and want to start practicing hitting drops off and catching some air. Anyone know where I can find a selection of different drop off heights and just play preferably not on concrete?
  12. Seriously light and a sweet toy, but man it looks like an uncomfortable ride - hard head and tail. Is it just me or does that fork not have a taprered steerer? looks a little wierd
  13. Been looking around loads of stores in JHB for a set of foldable non-UST Crossmarks, 26 X 2.1 to no avail. Does anyone know where I can get these?
  14. I've heard many good things about the Anthem for geometry and handling up and down hill, even though its a 100mm rear travel bike can it fit a 120mm rear shock?
  15. I thought the Fuel Ex were discontinued in SA, is that correct? Any ideas of what a Fuel Ex frame set would cost? Smolster - any ideas on what your frame weighs and how much it cost?
  16. Thanks for the suggestions all, Like the look of the Merida but really looking for an alu, I just find I have more confidence in doing silly things on it.
  17. finally got most of my light trail components together and want to crown them with a 120mm travel full susser frame set. I want an full suspension alu frame set with tapered headset to fit my fork and rear suspension rig geared for a 120mm fox rp23. Any ideas?
  18. Is anyone taking the drive down from JHB to CT this holiday who may have a spare spot on thier bike rack for my mountain bike? I'd be happy to pay for the priveledge of bringing it down for me. I can drop off and pick up.
  19. How about this....is this bad for your bike?
  20. If I'm going to do it myself do you know what I should try and find and the best way of going about it? Otherwise do you know of someone who may be able to do a quick clear coat for me before we all decend into christmas madness? Thanks
  21. Has anyone used one of these? They look pretty sweet and apparently are pretty good. Any ideas on where to get in SA.
  22. Nice, thanks. Do you think there any disadvantages to having it uncoated?
  23. Would someone mind translating this into english so that I can get some info from it....thanks.
  24. Are there any issues with just keeping a frame uncoated? have just stripped an old hardtail down to metal and like the look, I realise it will oxidise and go a bit dull but are there any structural issues if I don't clear coat or paint the frame?
  25. Anyone know where I can have a look at the bits in person?...the website doesn't seem to want to show me the dealer locations in JHB.
