  2. How great are these new power meters from Stages cycling. http://www.stagescyc...gespower-models Our Stages Power meter is the singular product that will bring power measurement and training to the masses. This range puts power meters within the reach of every performance minded rider, from road, to triathlon, to mountain bike (including downhill), to BMX and track. It's a simple solution is tailor made for Shimano's entire performance range, as well as SRAM's aluminum Rival and X9 models. 3. I got a carbon fork for sale if someone is looking https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/71278-carbon-rigid-fork/
  4. No it is self extracting. you make sure the bigger nut of the two is a little tight and then you turn the smaller bolt anticlockwise and it will extract itself. it might be still but keep turning it and it will come loose.
  5. Did you win?
  6. Haha you'll be fine. Haha
  7. If you have to ask you not ready. Haha great story.
  8. I got it at my LBS (eagle canyon cycles) but any bike shop should stock them i have seen similar one all over. RAVX and a whole bunch of other companies make identical ones. Try Cajees, Sportsmans, solomans, Epic cycles, I have seen them all over. It shouldnt cost more than R200
  9. No worries Always glad to help out a fellow Cyclist.
  10. In the chainbreaker it will look like this.
  11. Here is a bit of help. I have been using this chainbreaker for about 3 years now and it works perfectly. It was about R130. What you can do if you dont have a bigger chainbreaker like the one above is the following. Start on a new link and push the pin 3/4 of the way out so it looks like this. Then you can join the chain as follows. First line chain up and then flip up the outer link plate on the side away from the pin. What this does is it make the chain a littler narrower and it should fit into a smaller breaker and then you can push the pin through half way. Then push the outside plate back down into position and then push the pin all the way through.
  12. What and I thought you just wanted to have a few beers. Nice. Gotta love a Stan's rim.
  13. Haha thanx for the kudos rouxtjie Have a look at the photo on this thread. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/112597-are-you-using-a-ss-specific-chain-on-your-ss/page__st__80
  14. like the way you think.
  15. I've raced two 94.7 and did a 3:50 and 3:15 on a mtb. Neither one was fun. The last three years I have ridden on my SS mtb. 7:40 on a Choc ice-cream bike and then back and forth to help the other ice-cream bikes in. 7:30 cruise with family and friends, helping ice cream bike along the way. Beers at Porsche Randburg, tequila on homestead, beers on Douglas, beers at corner house, Brandy and coke on witkoppen. Dance with the cheerleaders on the N14 and then running up and down heartbreak hill pushing ice cream bikes up. Then cramping like a boss all the way home. Haha 6:10 booze cruise this year. Same beer stops just added another one on at colony, half way up jan smuts and half way up witkoppen. Need to stay hydrated on the climbs. All three years were long days in the saddle but so much fun. Great vibe throughout the route and fun interacting with the spectators when you not in a read mist. Also great to help give some folks a push here and there when they are really struggling. A Sub 3 doesn't mean that much to me. I tried and failed in the earlier years but now that I have seen what I had been missing out on I have no urge to race it again. Just opinion. There I so much fun to be had out there and to zoom through it in 2:45 you miss it all.
  16. Karma did a 3:00:25 with nobblies on his niner.
  17. NO a Sub 3 is not really a sub 3 is also a: a sub 4 a sub 5 a sub 6 a sub 7
  18. love it. Also had my bike stickerbombed for the last year and a bit. love it.
  19. 34:18, 6x beer stops, 1x Sherry stop, 1x tequila stop, 1x burger stop, helped a Choc ice cream bike out, rode will the family. 6:15 haha.
  20. YES. Just look out for the painted gum poles and bunting tape.
  21. if i catch you i'll give a little push. Having ridden a ice cream bike two years ago i know you gonna need it.
  22. Wow holy KR@P what a punch of Spoiled wingy winy princesses. Did your mommy tell you that you are special and that your time is that valuable. Parking: You didn't have to park in the paid parking.(use a little common sense and you could have worked out that there must be other parking as it is a shopping centre) we paid for parking at Sandton last year and thats if you could find any. and those clever people that used the Gautrain you paid for that to as well as parking at the station where you left from. Number collection: once again a little common sense goes a long way. You know its gonna be busy on the first day. especially from around lunch time and onwards. it simply a numbers game. 30 000 people and at least 20% are going to have some kind of inquiry or be collecting for more than one person. Its going to take a while, just grow up and deal with it. if getting back to work is an issue collect on saturday. It sad that people who are supposedly doing something for pleasure get so worked up and bitch and moan like a bunch of old ladies. Maybe take your Heads out of your @rses long enough to use some common sense and alot of YOUR "issues" can be avoided.
  23. That doesn't look like the bearing. It looks like the centering sleeve and top race. If that is the case then it's not broken. Some do come slips like that so that they can clamp down on the steerer
