  1. Hah, well that settles it, I aint voting for him in the ASG competition anymore. That will teach him.!
  2. Yeah, I think 'Berto is nursing some brilliant form but I dont expect we will see much of it yet, last week he will come out and it will be make or break time. He is not going to ride for second, thats for sure so now he will just limit his losses and save his energy - or at least thats my opinion, usually however I am completely wrong though.
  3. Hmm, looks like the end for Frank, maybe he will get into a small team somewhere but it looks like the glory days are over..........sad to go out like that, but he has only himself to blame.
  4. - "I hurt all over", typical Rodriguez, another one of the "no drama" riders, just does what he can and moves along, I have high hopes for him.
  5. Wow, who woulda guessed that hey.? Great day for the young lad, and what a proud Dad Tony must be.
  6. Oh, okay, didn't know, I think I will need to go look at one next time I go buy pods, I like the dial knob as well, as Christie says, I also think I will use that a lot.
  7. Hmm, now thats a nice machine, not available yet though is it.?
  8. Sheesh, thats nothing man, I need to have a double espresso (2 x pods) before I can even wake up. I recon I actually drink about 4 pods a day on average - on weekends a bit less as my wife and I usually go out for our coffee fix.
  9. I go through roughly about 8- 10 tubes a month on my own, my wife, about 5 tubes excluding those she buys for her office, so I guess 15 odd tubes?? give or take a bit.
  10. Indeed the crew are, I have spent a lot of time in Marseille so I actually know the area around there fairly well, its a starkly beautiful countryside indeed. I got all sentimental when they showed views of the old Port in Marseille as I have spent many happy and enjoyable hours at some of the great cafe's dotted around the port, and on Sunday the fish market on the dock side is still probably one of the biggest and certainly oldest fresh fish markets in France, its simply incredible to go wonder around, although as the Med is so depleted of any fish bigger than pan size lately many of the fish appear to be juveniles but are still heavily sought after for that great French favorite "Bouillabaisse"
  11. Easy stage for Cav today, almost dead flat so no chance of been left behind or the break staying away, and as it seems he is back to form I think the rest will just be going through the motions. Apart from the last 3 km, yesterdays stage was dead boring as far as I am concerned, and I expect much the same today - theres a coupla bumps on Friday which may favor a break, but roll on Saturday and Sunday when I think the big names will at least need to poke their heads out of the peleton.
  12. You are kidding right.? How can it take so long,....... maybe they sent it with a runner.
  13. If you are going to sell something, anywhere, retail or online customers expect to receive the goods on settlement or within a reasonable and negotiated time frame, 48 hours would be maximum in my opinion, that's just plain good business practice and can never be up for debate. If for some reason you do not have the product on hand and delivery will take "X" number of weeks, which can happen, then its good business practice to advise the customer as such, preferably before concluding the transaction, taking someones money and not delivering or acknowledging the client in any way could easily be seen as suspicious........ and thats not good business practice.
  14. Oh okay, fair enough. Is there a difference in taste, or are they much the same.?
  15. Yah, its a great ad that one. The MTN and Liberty ones drive me nuts, Whats this "Shelves tell you when they are empty" nonsense - its a dof ad.
  16. So I am assuming you got a machine on monday awesome.? Let that be a lesson to you to ask things like that here, just costs you money.!
  17. Oh, okay, didnt see that, but its not cheaper, same price really and theres only a few to choose from, so not much variety,....not sure I see any advantage to using them except they claim to be green, but thats subjective in my opinion and wont make me change brands based on that alone. Is there any shops you know of that sells them UNI, or is it only online? I would like to taste them first or buy one tube of each to see which I like, not keen to go buy 10 tubes online, only to find I dont like it.
  18. Again, never heard of them, where do you get them.?
  19. No, never heard of them, where do you get them? I am always up to try a new flavor, although if its the same as Nespresso theoretically its not new - but if not I may be up to trying a few, depending where I can see them. Interesting name, "Ethical pods" any idea why that is.?
  20. Yah, thats the way I would say is the right way to handle this sort of thing, if you can reach them of course, make them know you saw what they did and are aware of it,..... sadly I guess the OP cant get to them.
  21. Sure, mostly I think its just mischievous and perhaps the people dont understand the problems that could arise by doing this kind of thing.
  22. No offense taken, I understand your point, but, sadly, thats the way it is. We must be careful as we cant really compare rape or murder to someone throwing a soggy ball at a cyclist, and although we can jump on the "what if it was a brick" or similar bandwagon, but the facts are it wasnt, and in effect nothing has happened yet, there is no loss - if it does happen, well it will be looked at differently then but the police only work in retrospect, (ie) after the case, - so as nothing here has happened, I can tell you, they will not do a thing. .but Yah, I hear you, I know exactly what you mean and I agree, it would be great if we had a more proactive police force who actually took this kind of thing seriously - maybe one day, I hope so.
  23. Its a good idea mate, but not to sound negative, I can almost assure you nothing will come of it. At this point, even if the police bother to watch the video theres no injury or loss of property so there is little reason to start a tracing process and prosecute, its not going to happen here anyway. On the plus side filling in a case docket does leave a paper trail, so in a way if something happens later, (injury, loss of property etc) there is already a case on file which the police can use.
  24. Yeah, early on in my time as well and often we undertook big jobs on a meeting over coffee and a handshake. Of course its all changed now and over the last few years you needed three accountants to check every tender, go through a supplier due diligence process, undertake to sign a 200 page confidentiality agreement, have two specialist contract attorneys check and double check every detail, submit a audited financial assessment to ensure you can undertake the job and then, if you are very lucky, you may get it. Really makes life difficult indeed. ..........but yah, sorry to hear Wyatt, times sure have changed.
  25. Aaah, wait a minute, looking again maybe I miss read your post, I read the "bew" to mean "BREW" as in "Will not BREW, getting a Pod machine".?? .........but it could just as easily read as "be" as in "Will not BE getting a pod machine" ?? ..........in that case just disregard my post.
