  1. As you want a pod machine, any of the bigger Nespresso pod units will do the job, 15 cups a day is not a lot but might be a bit much for a smaller unit like a Pixie or a U to cope with every day, although, most of the Nespresso shops use Pixies and they make a lot more than 15 cups a day, so its possible. Go to the Nespresso site and have a lookie-see, 10k is more than enough for a good pod machine, you will even have some change..........that always makes the accountants happy.!
  2. No doubt it, quite a few @Home stores sell the machines, but none of them sell the pods, so I suspect its the same, Pity, it would have suited me perfectly.
  3. Yeah, indeed, ........that article is quite scathing of the decision as well, gives the impression if you are a big name like Cav. you can expect special treatment but if not............snip, out.! Maybe they will make an exception today, theres been quite an uproar over it. Hope so.
  4. I honestly expected BMC to do better than they did, its not a weak team, but Evans was doing long turns on the front to conserve time so I suspect they would have been much worse had he not done so. Looks like he may find his team a bit "wanting" later in the tour.
  5. Nice to see Daryl doing so well, really pleased for him......Tony is gonna be hell to live with in the shop though now.
  6. Well, Yah, its a possibility, I personally would not go there..............
  7. They do.??? I wasnt aware they had one, I thought there was only one in Sandton. I drive down to the Vaal at least twice a month, usually more, so if they have one that would be great as Eastgate is right on my route, plus I always forget to take pods with me so I am always running out at my house down there, ....I would be chuffed.!
  8. Nothing much you can do in my opinion, I once got klapped behind the head with a rolled up newspaper or magazine or something by a guy hanging out the car window, gave me a bit of a scare at the time, but what can you do, maybe just pick another route.
  9. I thought I heard on the commentary yesterday Cav was sick or doing antibiotics or something?? Not sure, I had the sound turned down and with the helicopter noise, my poor hearing and my standard tuning out of most of the two P's commentary I cant be certain.?
  10. Indeed,.......and what if he falls again? Its a possibility that simply cant be ignored, and then the risks must become incredibly high of long term damage.
  11. Always listen to your Mum.! I am sure he has received medical advice, but, common sense surely tells me there is a possibility of long term issues by not resting the fracture and allowing it to heal, it may be great media to soldier through now, but 10 / 15 years down the line...................he may in hind sight, regret it. I hope not, but I also hope he is seriously considering the risk.
  12. Its becoming a race of lesser known riders, Cav looks to be out of it and Goss hasn't had the form recently, Sagan maybe still a little sore and the opportunists are taking full advantage. Not that I mind, I like seeing them get a shot at glory as well..........even if it messes with my fantasy team.
  13. I enjoy watching Tommy, unlike some he plays to the camera and knows how to get on TV, a great opportunist, never know when he will attack and zip away, one thing he never is,.. is boring.
  14. Is this for stage 3 now.? Stage 3 is almost starting and theres no dedicated thread yet...............................
  15. Yah, likewise, but I think its really just because having Marcel Kittel picking up all the jerseys and the stage pushed the points dramatically for those who picked him, but Yah, its so early its impossible to read anything into it yet. No one had Jan as a winner for yesterday, so it just shows how things can change overnight.
  16. Yah, seems its a bit of a copy of the Nespresso, I have heard its fine. The only issue as I understand is the CaffeLuxe pods SOMETIMES melt in the Nespresso machine as they use a different closure system and can cause a real problem, the guys at the Sandton Nespresso shop said they get quite a few machines in for repair with melted Caffeluxe pods stuck in the system, Nespresso also voids the warranty if they find you have been using the generic pods, but if you use Nespresso pods in the CaffeLuxe machine I recon it will be just as good.
  17. .........Pods are pricy though.........
  18. I would agree on the milk frother, I have it as well and also seldom use it, for a basic good little machine the Pixie is hard to beat in my opinion, but I use this one mostly.
  19. Yah, indeed, I have no issue if someone wants to carry a weapon on their ride, thats their business and its not up to me to make a judgement on it, but do so within the rule of law and ensure its concealed, otherwise it just brings unwanted attention to gun owners who do carry weapons within the rules of the law.
  20. Nice to see a relative unknown like Jan win a stage, I liked his press interview after the win as well, seems a pleasant humble young fella. Nice win for Radioshack as well. The peleton didn't initially want to work together to pull the break back and he made full use of the opportunity. I give it a
  21. I regularly hang up my bike for months at a time, I dont think its a big deal. Life changes, circumstances change, interests change, just because you used to cycle is no indicator that you will always cycle, maybe you just have new interests now, maybe your life circumstances have changed, it happens, I wouldn't worry about it. Right now I hardly go out on the bike, but I am enjoying going to the VA, at this point in time I enjoy the social interaction of been with other people, I dont feel like going out for two hours riding on my own, but I enjoy spending two hours with other people around me, even if I dont know them. Sometimes I swim sometimes I run on the treadmill, sometimes I may do a spinning class, sometimes I move the weights around, Friday I did a "Killer abs session" with all the housewives it was interesting to say the least, .............who knows what I'll do in two months time, if its riding, well so be it, if its joining a chess club or learning a new skill, well thats fine too,........ dont define your life by a series of circular leg movements.
  22. Hmm, indeed you must go, I have been three times so it was great to see the sights again. It always looks different (better)from the air though. I dived quite a lot off Porto Vecchio, its a great area, Bonifacio is the place to visit in my opinion, Staresso is also great but only if you are a scuba diver, Ajaccio is only good to land in if you fly, not much there worth seeing so I would move out to the southern coastal areas as quickly as possible.
  23. Hmm, he looked quite torn up. Will be a big blow to SKY if Geraint Thomas is out.
  24. I wonder how that happened, I mean surely they know the bus heights.? I see the bus is dropped down completely as well as they have hydraulic systems which they can use to tilt, raise or lower the cabin so it was way higher than the bridge initially.
