  1. I thought I saw Contador's jersey was torn, seems he must have fell, or maybe I didn't see right.?
  2. Indeed, I dont see anything to the contrary in the rules, .........quite clever if you ask me.!
  3. No need to be sarcastic, my mileage just differ's from yours, nothing more, nothing less.
  4. Hee, Hee, some Port maybe, red wine is just now.
  5. Hmm, I thought it was a pretty boring first stage and I dozed through most of it. - Hope tomorrow is a bit more exciting.
  6. Philippe Gilbert - BMC Racing
  7. - Ha, Ha, yah, they cornered Phil with that one on the radio today, his answer was that its possible now because bikes are lighter and more sophisticated and training is much more focused so times etc will remain much the same........Hmmm, I'll reserve my opinion on that one, but he did concede the riders dont recover as quick anymore, which is a sign that they are now clean.
  8. Hmm, there are always going to be favorites for each stage, sprints are dominated by Sagan and Cavendish mountain finishes by Contador / Froome / Rodriguez etc - so if you dont sit here all day waiting for post to open and the opportunity to post first, your chances are really just co-incidental. Sounds more like a guessing game than a competition where everyone has a fair opportunity. Never the less - Roberto Ferrari - Lampre.
  9. Yah, it is what it is, nothing more, for years I have just watched it for the spectacle, I dont really care if they dope or not, I am just interested in the event as it unfolds............and the great views of the French countryside of course!.
  10. I enjoy riding, but I cant say I have an undying love of it, to me its just something I do, much like I play golf, go scuba diving, swim, hike and run, if I couldn't ride tomorrow, or ever again I wouldn't really worry that much, I would just do something else, life is too short to see it in a series of circular leg movements.
  11. Well, I have sent a PM, but hey, I'll put it here too. Riders. 1. Alberto Contador 2. Chris Froome 3. Cadel Evans 4. Joaquim Rodriguez 5. Peter Sagan 6. Alejandro Valverde 7. Nairo Quintana 8. Mark Cavandish 9. Jacob Fuglsang Team. 1. SKY. 2. Movistar. 3. Saxo Tinkoff. No copying now ok.!!
  12. Mikel Nieve, I think is the only good prospect for a stage, he is quite competitive, or at least more than the rest of these guys, overall the team leaves me under-impressed, look for them dozing in the sun at the back.
  13. That's for sure. ............cant say Cunego impresses me much anymore either, I always liked him after his Giro win as a young lad, considered him a bit of a dark horse and truthfully he was always there or there about, but last years Giro when he rode off on his own and left Scarpo who was fighting for podium out to dry with no help ruined it for me, big ego it seems, and worst of all he didn't even win the stage. .........I hope Serpa isnt going to try win a stage cos he wont get any help from Cunego.
  14. Yah, those little capsule rooms are small, but you have everything you need and at least he can take a shower and sleep on a bed. Going to be interesting to see how this shapes up, Russia is definitely baiting here, but it at least gets China out of the firing line.
  15. - Ha, Ha, Naa goodness, that kind of price is only reserved for really serious stuff, normal stuff like no license is just a coke, okay, maybe two if theres two on patrol.
  16. Well, I see SKY news is reporting that President Putin is saying Snowden is still in the capsule hotel in Moscow Airport and he need not worry, Russia will NOT extradite him. Strong words by President Putin, very blunt too, "Russia will not extradite Snowden" ... seems he may be living in Russia from now on.............. its not Hawaii I guess, but certainly better than Ecuador.
  17. Cool, otherwise take a drive up to JHB - we can go for a spin and while you have your license done I'll enjoy a coffee and a chocolate croissant at Fournos Bakery next door. I am up for that.!
  18. Yah, in JHB for sure, I go all the time. Renewed my license a few months back and went to the optician in Fourways crossing, made an appointment over the phone, arrived and left in 15 minutes, collected my card about three weeks later. No extra cost either, the same as you pay at any municipal office where you wait in line for 5 hours. I would have imagined Cape Town had similar.
  19. Plenty Opticians do it here in JHB, must be the same in Cape Town surely.?
  20. I read somewhere that Europcar was also in a bit of hot water over with the Council for Credible sport. Seems they are been investigated over transfusions and Rolands issue with elevated Cortisol levels. I'll see if I can find the article. .........okay found em......... Heres one - http://velonews.comp...and-test_291545 Heres the other - http://velonews.comp...e-france_226076
  21. I would suggest to take it in to Garmin in JHB and let them take a peek. The technical guys there are top notch, I have never had an issue they couldn't sort out right there and then. What I like is the staff have the ability to make calls, theres no let me check here and confirm there, they check, fix or tell you whats up, I have posted it here before but I had an old Garmin which I took in to have the maps updated and repair a screen issue, the guys took it and said come back tomorrow it will be ready. When I came back the next day the guy looked at me all glum and sad and said when they opened it to fix the screen they broke it and he showed me a cracked case and screen. I looked at him and was about to get all upset when he chuckled, reached under the table and gave me a brand new one with a "compliments of Garmin", all I paid for was the maps. I dont care what Garmin's cost, this kind of service means I will pay their price and never even look elsewhere.
  22. Yeah, I dont like the Chai either, but my wife loves it, maybe its a woman thing.
  23. No I didnt, strange as I usually do,...... buggers have excommunicated me.
  24. Just as an aside I was in the Nespresso shop on the weekend and they have Caramel, Vanilla and Chocolate versions out now, not fond of the Caramel, but the Vanilla and Chocolate are great and I bought 10 tubes. They said they were out on special a while back as well but I cant remember getting any.
