  1. Hi there My son is a bit younger, we recently moved him onto a Momsen JSL40 (24" bike) when he was not yet 8. It is very light (9kgs) and he is absolutely loving it. The build qlt and geometry on the bike is very good.
  2. Mine is a medium, I bought the top end build kit direct from Pat, it has XO and X9 on it, with carbon crank, bars etc. Thompson cockpit, 12kgs. Brilliant bike for trail riding/Xc classics, marathons ( hill2hill/berg n bush ) etc. and climbs like a bomb, on a long climb like Friesland Hill I am within 5 seconds on my hardtail 29er and the PYGA.
  3. I am looking at getting rid of a set of Avid 7, and putting some Hope X2 or Shimano XT on the PYGA. Bike has SRAM x9 shifters on with matchmakers for the avid brakes. Does anyone know if I can get matchmakers that will take the hopes or shimano brakes with the SRAM X9 shifters? Cheers Bruce.
  4. Got that done yesterday, now it is perfect. Lights and # plate on bike rack, so all 100% legal.
  5. Menabo 3 bike rack is the bomb. And well priced. I think the model I have is Winny plus 3. Speak to Barry at rack and carry. Good price and service. http://www.rackandcarry.co.za/m/BikeRacks
  6. Anyone ridden Clearwater trails on south coast recently?
  7. Towball on the back of the trailer works perfectly. Just no lights on the bike rack tho.
  8. Yes, that was him, with a raw Alu PYGA next to him....
  9. Who is riding this on Saturday? and have you done it before? cheers,
  10. Has anyone done the 80kms race at this event, Inanda Dam, KZN. thanks, Bruce
  11. Well done guys. Awesome race to have completed. I was away, but hope to take part in 2013. Respect.
  12. And socks and water bottles....
  13. That is 100% typical of the kind of terrain us KZN riders play in all the time!!!
  14. Did my first SS race yesterday, the Nissan 75km marathon. What an absolute blast riding a race of this distance on a SS. After hilll2hill last weekend on the dual sys, yesterday was a completely different day. The weather was beaut, the scenery was magnificent and the cotic went like a legend. A day full of emotion, getting that bike through 78kms was an unbelievable experience. Thanks to you guys who encouraged me to build the SS and who helped with advise on getting it set up like it is.

  16. What a great event. The marathon route was superb. Thanks to all organisers. Well done.
  17. Your chosen ratio will also depend if you riding 26 or 29"
  18. Any SS riding the 75kms, before SSWC the weekend after?
  19. I rode with Maxiss Ikon's on the PYGA and they were great. Shed mud well and I did not fall once the whole day. Also got up a lot of places, where others were spinning out.
  20. It was an AWESOME day!!! The mud was hectic, the banter on the trails was great fun and the PYGA went like a machine!! those that missed 2012 Hill2hill, sorry for you. those that started well done, those that finshed - WELL DONE - Respect...
  21. I am in, on the PYGA! Looking forward to it, and hoping not too wet. Beats last years heat tho.....
