  1. I have been riding in a road workers vest that works but it flaps a lot in the wind and does not have flashing lights. I want one of these! Please post the details.
  2. Did you get the spelling of my name correct? Call me if you need the exact details
  3. Who won the wheels from last weeks comp?
  4. Yeah right!!
  5. What about all the "clean" riders who got chucked out because they did not make the cutoff times set by the doped guys?????? This sucks!!!!!
  6. You are very lucky!! When I brought 2 Sigma cycling computers in from Oz I paid more at the post office than that. The computers cost me R350 each (total of R700) and the post office smacked me with R100 to get them.
  7. I am in!!! Robbie earned it and desereves the admiration of all of us!!
  8. YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!
  9. What ave speed do you cover the cradle route in? That will tell you which CLab group you could ride with. We do 81 km from Cyclelab past the Lion Park, past Avianto and then back.
  10. Slowjoe, I can see that jealousy peeking through again. You KNOW you want to upgrade to Specialized
  11. My Garmin gives very different info
  12. Narra I did ride on saturday but not with the HiQ guys. I was a bit further back with the C group
  13. What software gives you this info?
  14. And he is the team leader for T-Mobile!!
  15. Narra Share some of those nice routes - getting a bit bored of doing the cradle every weekend
  16. SCHWEEEEET! And who said we aren't patriotic!!!!!!!
  17. Marktd Your suggested route is not a good one at all. I live in Kyalami and the road from Cedar Square to Kyalami is a shocker. There is no emergency lane, the actual road is full of potholes and cars fly on it with no regard for cyclists. Why dont you rather come and join us for a ride at Cyclelab. Winter times at the moment leave from the lab at 7am (saturday and sunday) with groups from A down to a D and then a beginners clinic. Average distance is around 75km with the D group riding it at 22-24 km/h. The route acutally goes straight past Cedar Square so it is definitely in the area that you are looking at. PM me if you want more details.
  18. Slowjoe Very keen to know what the final tally is. Looking to order some other stuff from overseas but keen to understand how the import details finally clock in
  19. Slowjoe - be careful about GPS city. When stuff comes in from overseas, you have to pay other charges at the post office based on value of the goods. At minimum I am guessing that it is VAT. Which means that if you get the 305 plus economy shipping for $337, it will be R2,375 plus VAT on the base price which will come to another R300 odd coming to a total of R2,675 with the hassles of waiting for it to arrive, hoping the cronies at SAPO dont steal it etc.etc. - probably better to just go to Sportmans Warehouse who were selling for about R2999.
  20. Hagar, glad you got the Garmin. I have one and I love it. Only 2 problems - 1. It does not show the temp (not an massive issue) and 2. It does not have power output. That menas that if you upgrade to Ergomo or the likes, you need to replace the Garmin completely. I am an info junkie and I have loaded my main screen with all sorts of facts. I LOVE knowing what the gradient is whenever I go up hills.
