not stressed holly, it's just that I see this happening more and more. If we don't say anything (and this point has been brought up time and again) does it make it right. Minding our own business and ignoring others, does that make it right? We see a group of tonsils riding 3, 4 abreast and some say mind your own business but then we bitch cause we get no respect. How do we get our own house in order at all levels if we "mind our own business"?

I'm sure a lawyer's letter could have compelled Cajees to give up the owner's name. My folks had a clock made for their wedding. It was stolen 10 years later ina house robbery and my mother saw it one day at an upmarket shop in Sandton City (16 years after it had been stolen) Unfortunately it had passed though too many hands to trace back it back to the thieves.

EEEIIINNNAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!! Funny, I was talking to a guy last night who manufactures motorcycle gear and we were talking about how it protects these guys when they fall. We got onto the subject of cyclists falling and how little lycra does to protect us. He and I are going to get together to see about making stretch kevlar cycling gear which apparently (and I only say apparently at the moment) will prevent what you're seeing in the pics (the roasties and not the falling obviously). I've also decided to change tack and stop ingnoring things. Other day, no parking close to shops, Landrover pulls into disabled parking. As I walk past the guy and his wife, I yell out "IT'S A MIRACLE YOU CAN WALK!" couple of people stare and he doesn't know where to put himself. His wife splutters and mumbles some excuse. Did he move his vehicle, well he was thinking about it (he kinda stopped and half turned to move out and then thought better of it), so I pushed the issue "hope there are no disabled people looking for a parking tonight". and then I must confess I had to go off. Will it make a difference who knows but I wasn't prepared to stand around and do nothing! (word of caution, make sure that the person you are in fact shouting at is not disabled as someone has tried that before and was chased down the road by a guy with a false leg (true story)) jeremyd2009-02-09 00:46:17

you can get special mounting material which is like a sheet of double sided tape.

I had an issue with some of the gels. Spoke to pornstar and all I have to say is that there are a lot of people out there who can learn from his willingness to help the cstomer. Issue was sorted out without question (it had nothing to do with the quality of the product, simply the packaging) I wish there were more out there like him and hope that his products do better than even he can envisage. Well Done!

Triumph1, when the accident happened, we did feel for your brother. As a cycling community each and every accident touches us in one way or another. The problem came in when there was talk of suing and lawyers. Then the community turned nasty. People felt that he (or the family) was not taking responsibilty for his own actions and looking to apportion the blame elsewhere. And then the names started. It's a pity you didn't come on a lot earlier to clarify matters. You all would have received much more support (as can be seen from the many other incidents that have happened to cyclists) and sympathy in the beginning and less "abuse". I really do hope your brother recovers fully. Nobody wants this sort of thing to happen to anyone. May his recovery go from strength to strength

Problem, is for the madone you can add on another R15000 for those specs. I'm hoping that we can drop the handle bars slightly to make it slightly more aggressive. Price is actually R17000.00

Anybody ride one of these? I want to get my wife a new carbon bike about R15000.00 and can get a brand new trek pilot wsd with ultegra for about this price. Any good/bad/ugly? She did a 2.59 on 94.7 on her trek steel. Any comments?
