  1. Imagine if Froome wasn't there. It would be one of the tightest, most entertaining tours in years (not that Froome makes it less entertaining, just a bit of a class of his own at the moment). Still an extremely close race for 2nd at the moment. Recon Condador's experiance and class will eventually take him to a clear 2nd.
  2. Obviously Gilbert is a favourite, but I still have high hopes for Velits today. Really impressed me this tour so far.
  3. Sure, but the little downhill may play havock with leadout trains. May have to regroup.
  4. Is it better to be p!ssed off than being p!ssed on?
  5. I believe Froome will become a legend of the sport. When was the last time someone "clean" dominated the tour like he is doing? And he can do it all. Will be interesting to see how the Movistar and Belkin guys try to break him in the mountains. At least now Quintana is a lesser threat and the guys to watch is becoming clearer. Go boytjie!
  6. I am impressed. Looks like Tony made most of his time on the others on the last section. Lets see.
  7. Peter Velits (used to race for Konica Minolta SA) also going well and Impey next up to start!
  8. Me too, but it sounds like only Tuft got Green(edge) light from management to give it a real go. The others to save themselves.
  9. Jip, so far Sagan holding on, but Gilbert fading in section 2. To put it into perspective, they are up there with various national TT champs and Millar who won a TDF TT.
  10. I think Impey will get a top 10 or even top 5 if he gives it everything today. Ater his yellow and winning TTT, he must believe he can do it. It will be a cracker, but I do not see anyone taking it away from Martin, not even Froome. He did not feature too much so far in the tour and surely has been saving himself for this one. Going to be a cracker. I love the TT!
  11. Awesome...an intriguing pic without palms!
  12. It is France, like Slaapstad there are drags everywhere.
  13. You can also cut off your fingers if your arse itches. That way you won't have stinky fingers. Must say, you will gain some very nice mud clearance and changing the rear shock, you could go from a say 100mm to possibly 120mm travel suspension in the rear. Also watch your chainstay design. Some designers have a narrowing (right there where the 650b tire will be) before opening up to the tire close to the downtube.
  14. Look, I am gatvol of looking at bloody palms! I cannot let it go, so just B^&$$!! tell us already? Please, or i will find you and throw you with dates.
  15. After watching the "backstage pass" of day six, I am proud to say I cried. Simon Gerrans, you are a real man. Simon, Darryl and the whole team, you make me proud, not just as a cyclist or South African, but as a man. Will watch every second of today's stage and truly hope you can keep the jersey after today. It will be a(nother) massive test of caracter. GOOOOO!
  16. Wonder if Arianne will take part for the Swiss?
  17. Jagluiperde en jagluiperds selfde probleempie?
  18. The date for this year's edition has been set on Saturday 19 October. This year the Octoberfest itself will also be on the Saturday during the race and late into the night. Hope to see many of you there. Will keep you posted on the routes, distances and where to enter. Burning to boast about the new long route, but let us first finalize all landowner approvals.
  19. Smiles A scratch or two Beer More smiles There are no seeded starts at Babbas, so just get there early. The 35km should take you around 1:30, so over before you know it.
  20. Clearly you are not from the Cape. They look at the wind first.
  21. Darn, I will be in Bloem the 15th, but that is the morning after a wedding Still would be nice to meet you guys as I am an ex(bloem)pat. Enjoy.
  22. Better than 7de Laan and Egoli. Do tell!
