  1. So we tried Line of Duty this weekend. Got through Episode 1 and there just wasn't any sparks... seemed rather amateurish TBH. Tried to get my wife to give Ep 2 a go but she wasn't interested.
  2. We've stayed at Sani Backpackers before. Were in a rondavel not the dorms though. Was fine. Reasonable and clean. We ate at Himeville arms. Water was pumped from the river so shower with your mouth closed if you stay there... Sani on a bike is about a 15-20 minute trip from border to border. Go and explore the road around there as well. The Lower Lotheni road to Notties is a nice scenic ride. Have lunch at the Notties Hotel. Amazing area.
  3. [emoji1696] I still need to check my measurements...

  5. There is a UK TV Guide App on the Play Store that I find useful to see what is showing as well as what is coming up. Otherwise use the Sky Sports/ ITV site and browse their schedules. Edit: obviously UK TV biased but helps a lot if you are using Mobdro
  6. Awesome! Looks like I might go that route as well. Please let me know which remote it comes with?
  7. So I tried Moreflavour, Cape Coffee Beans and Colombo. Not available from Cape Coffee Beans or Colombo and no response yet from Moreflavour. @Alouette3 Did you have any luck with that file?
  8. If you use std mail it will probably be hit and miss with SAPO. Once you add priority shipping it's almost the same price as local...
  9. I am starting to lean towards the H96MAX X2 Just read a review and it looks to have enough RAM, storage and USB Ports to keep one happy for a while at least. Price is also fair (About half if you go the Banggood/Gearbest/DX route but that's hit and miss with delivery...) Here's a cheaper alternative with a little less punch but still looks good IMO And if you haven't seen enough specs yet... Android TV vs MiniPC
  10. That's the one I couldn't remember
  11. TBH I was happy with my MXQ which I started using in 2016 purely as an experiment to see if I would be able to "manage" with streaming as entertainment instead of torrents etc. I didn't want to be heavily invested in something that may not suit my needs so the MXQ came from Amazon via my sister in law who brought it over from the UK for less than 2 movie tickets with popcorn and coke. It has done duty almost everyday since then and I have not regretted the purchase for a moment. I like the ability to access the PlayStore as well as add 3rd party apps. It does everything except DSTV Now (I tried with a mates account for sport access) but that's not an issue for me as we made a decision to can DSTV a long time ago and I felt like a hypocrite using the app on someone else's account anyway. The Bloatware can usually be removed with a factory/hard reset and then load the apps that you want from the Play Store or elsewhere. Worked on my MXQ. (Kodi was pre loaded with a shyte load of addons that I didn't use and took up a lot of space) Some things that I am looking at in terms of specs are the version of Android that the box is running (6 or higher), the RAM (2Gb or more), available on board storage space (more than 8Gb) and the number of USB ports (At least 2). I have a wireless keyboard with touch pad that I like and also want to be able to plug a flash drive in (My media drive is shared via my router USB port). Not phased about the SD card slot. What I have found so far: MiGica T95MAXH6 Media Player MQX Pro 4k X96 Mini 8Gb Xaomi (Only 1 USB Port) @Duane_Bosch posted some info a few months/years ago on one of the threads about streaming/Kodi (I have been trying to find it with no luck) for a mini PC that looked interesting but I was using the MXQ so didn't worry too much at the time. The Nvidia Shield looks to be a nice piece of kit with some great reviews, but you are looking at console type money...
  12. I already have the Pi but its a Pi B+ V1.2.... Was hoping to load Android but I read that there are some issues with getting it to run without any issues on a Pi3 let alone an older Pi. At this point paying a bit extra for a plug and play setup that does what I am used to may just be easier
  13. There are a few devices that are Google certified but they come at a premium. If you are in the mxq budget then you can expect a few work arounds to get things to work. From what I have seen, some have Netfilx etc pre installed but won't support the latest version. The more expensive boxes look to work out the box (pin intended) but they come at a premium (not all that bad in the greater scheme of things, but still double the price) At this stage I might spend the extra and get a locally supported branded unit that runs everything without the schlep. For us a Chromecast won't work because there are 5 people using it ranging from 9 to 77. It needs to be wired so the firestick isn't on my list. Saw a few on Takealot that I have added to my wishlist but will research some more before I buy (Mygica, Xaiomi MiBox and something else I can't remember offhand) Toyed with the idea of a Pi but that seems like too much work.....
  14. There is always the option of side loading with an APK Installer. My MXQ box just stuck it's leg out of the bed and I am also in the market so I will be following with interest. As a side note I don't think my MXQ was google certified. It ran Android 5.1 which didn't support a few apps that I tried loading (Netflix and RedbullTV to mention 2 from the Playstore) but I installed APK Installer and hunted the APK files from a third party website and installed them that way (Actually used older versions that worked on 5.1 where as only the latest version is available from the Playstore) I also usek apk files for Mobdro and TapTV.
  15. Thanks for the heads up
  16. The Bodyguard has us guessing as to who the "inside man" was right up until the last episode. Initially I wasn't convinced by The Umbrella Academy last night (Maybe I wasn't in the right frame of min though...) The superhero series thing isn't really my cup of tea but the variations in the characters kept me going. It will get a third episode and maybe a 4th tonight.
  17. Really enjoyed Ray Donovan. (6 Seasons) Another good series IMHO is Blue Bloods.(Busy filming Season 9) Both series are well established so plenty of viewing time
  18. Just finished The Bodyguard in Netflix. Worth the watch IMO Started The Umbrella Academy last night. (Ep 1 & 2) Looks interesting so far.
  19. I just added an Instinct to my collection. My trusty Edge 305 was doing duties up until a few weeks ago when we unexpectedly parted ways on a run down Gravity at Giba. The hunt was on for a new device. I looked at a few (Suunto, Garmin, Polar) but they all look like they belong on the arm of a triathlete (which I suppose they do) I am a weekend warrior (at best) carrying around a generous helping of belly jelly that wants to measure heart rate and location with the convenience of the automatic syncing with Garmin Connect so that I get my Vitality points. I ride adventure bikes occasionally so the navigation function is also cool as well as the weather features. My everyday watch was a Casio G-Shock Mudman and the Instinct ticked all my boxed. It was wrist based heart rate with all the associated metrics (excluding swim function and power measurement but I have no use for those facilities anyway) packaged into what looks like a G-Shock. (You either love them or you don't.) I looked at a few options but they were either too small (I have big wrists) or they looked too sporty which didn't suit my unique physique. I have also read that the Instinct can take a beating so it suits my industrial work environment and my lifestyle. It's been a few weeks now and I have no regrets.
  20. Probably because nobody wants to buy it....
  21. I downloaded a model off thingiverse for a burr insert. I still need to glue mine back together and check the dimensions. Guy was kind enough to upload a step file so you can edit it. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1788631 Hopefully that helps.
  22. Will do. Mine came off Amazon. Looks just like the Porlex. Probably just be cheaper to buy another grinder... So far no luck with Cape Coffee Beans or Columbo. No news from Moreflavour yet.I did find a 3D Printer file for something similar though..... just not sure how strong it will be.
  23. Shorten the fenders, change the seat. throw some lights on it and stick it on Gumtree with "Vintage Norton Cafe Racer" in the title and somebody with a curly mustache and an immaculately trimmed beard wearing skinny jeans, a knitted scarf and North Stars will take it off your hands before the ad expires. He'll probably even pay cash that he'll carry in a little leather satchel Edit: That is a very cool story though. An opportunity to complete a story that would otherwise never have been told.
  24. Just spoke to someone in the call center. There was an issue uploading their data for this week. If you achieved your goal and didn't get the reward, it will come through next Wednesday.
