  1. Yes with specific reference to the Healthy Gear benefit. Besides all those points earned for doing the assessments (be they physical or medical) all accrue towards your points target. Due to various commitments we are not always able to achieve our weekly goals so the cost involved and the payback amount over that period, to me, hardly seems worth the effort. R2000 - R350 divided by 24 months equates to R68,75/month (Or am I missing something?)
  2. Thanks. S'pose its better to pay with the card and earn the miles. I have done the maths and have an idea what the number should be so I will do the pay in store thing and allocate the required amount of miles and pay the balance with the card. Pretty sure it should work like the VAR code. Will make sure and double check in store first though before I go pay though.
  3. 1. Just the Healthy Gear portion. That Device booster seems like a lot of hard work.... and all adult dependents need to do the assessments to activate the 25% cash back as far as I know 2. Thanks. Wasn't sure about the sequence. Better to walk in there knowing what to do 3. This I was aware of thanks.
  4. Can somebody please confirm the Helathy Gear option benefits at Sportsman's Warehouse... My wife, son and I are on the policy as adult dependents. The way I understand it is as follows, we all need to do our Vitality Age and Vitality Fitness assessments (All done) to qualify us for the 25% cash back on any healthy gear purchase up to a maximum spend of R4000 (For families). I need to swipe my Healthy Gear card before the transaction is rung up and paid for. If the item costs R6000 I will receive my R1000 cash back in the next billing cycle. Do I need to pay with my Disco card as well? Suppose it would be a good idea anyway to earn the miles... I also want to pay in store with miles on said purchase just to complicate the issue... I envisage a cashier at Sportsman's having an interesting day soon.... I wish life was simpler. All these loyalties and benefits just complicate things...
  5. I had an issue with Samsung's S-Health not syncing data (Steps and Heart Rate) Would not let me add the device in the Vitality app even though I gave permissions. Not sure how the PolarFlow works but I solved my issue by going into S-Helath app on my device and giving permissions there. Once that was done all activities started to sync.
  6. No of course not. I was referring to the keys that he lost...
  7. I think those keys are some kind of cast aluminium/pewter alloy. Welding anything to them is nigh on impossible. I wouldn't risk a quick fix just to have the new bit break off inside the ignition barrel.... @Lexx, have a look at your insurance policy schedule. There is usually a clause in there specific to key replacement. That should be covered.
  8. That's what she said...
  9. My friend has a stock 701. I think it sounds like a sewing machine with the std pipe on... an Akra however is around the 10k mark just for the rear can!
  10. I have seen the seat on a 701. I think your mate did you a favor....
  11. I've handed it over to my broker. They can sort it out now.
  12. Great thanks. I will let my friend know.
  13. Anybody got a link to the full season of "Wayne" that isn't on YouTube? Asking for a friend...
  14. Vitality Drive is not flavor of the month at the moment... The odo on the Active rewards app hasn't updated since November 2018 so I have not been receiving any plays on the board. Standalone unit installed. I can see all my trips logged on the DQ Tracker site. Call has been logged, systems say that it is resolved yet still no odo update. Jumped through all the hoops (uninstall, reset, reinstall etc.) but still nothing. Escalated for the 4th time today so lets wait another 5 working days and see what happens......
  15. When I first got my 640, I went for a burn up Field's Hill. The bike died on me three times going up. (Not fun when the emergency lane is 200mm wide...) Switched to reserve and all was good (There was fuel in the tank) Drained the tank and removed the fuel tap when I got home and found a load of sh!t clogging the valve. Gave it a good clean and has been fine ever since. Fan not working might be the sensor or possibly a faulty fan relay or a broken fan. If the bike has a temp gauge, get it hot enough to where the fan should switch on and see if there is power to the fan. Trace it back to the relay and then the switch to eliminate faults. Good luck!
  16. As already mentioned by Ed, firelighters if you have the time and energy (Obviously be aware of what wood you are using). Otherwise, depending on the volume, add it to your DSW refuse bags every week. If you have a lot of it and can't use it, take it through to your local landfill and let then deal with it. You are in KZN so in the upper highway area you can try the Wyebank depot or take it to Marianhill. In Westville there is the Bellair Garden refuse depot that takes all sorts and actually has a good recycling depot for paper, plastic, glass and even oil (Don't let then catch you throwing anything other than garden refuse into the garden refuse skips! I was there when the shouted at some unsuspecting chap....) Otherwise Springfield is another option.
  17. Cue Enya: Sail way, sail away, sail away...
  18. That's why I asked....
  19. Asked and answered your Honor.....
  20. Are you subscribed to YouTube Premium?
  21. We watched Bohemian Rhapsody this weekend. I was skeptical beforehand but glad I Watched. Had goosebumps at the end with the Live Aid concert
  22. That was actually really amazing.
  23. I heard somewhere that some manufacturers bring some models in as "for off-road use only" and you won't be able to register them for road use. I think Honda did that with some of their 230s
  24. Anything that rotates deserves respect. After many rears of just winging it at work, I have realised that the law of averages is no longer on my side. I am no longer "on the tools" but when I work at home, the PPE comes out. Even the weed eater gets long pants, glasses and ear plugs. A stick to the eye can be disastrous and with my already deteriorating hearing, I am not letting it get any worse. There's still a lot of things I want to hear.
