  1. ^^ This ^^ I like the look of "natural" wood. Danish oil leaves a satin finish on the wood while bringing out the natural grain. Apply, leave and wipe.
  2. Different style of riding. Going from Moto to MTB would be a help. My dual sport is too heavy to flick around and it reacts totally differently to any MTB I've ridden. Suspension is also way different. Having ridden an MTB however helps me choose better lines on tech downhill trails on the dual sport.
  3. Recently picked up where we left off with Ray Donovan. Season 5 should be done within the next few days. Always entertaining. Got Blue Bloods and Suits lined up next
  4. Buy the Honda. I'll even ride it down for you [emoji109][emoji110]

  6. Agreed to a point. Problem is (and we have seen it at North Beach Parkrun...) people arriving at 8:40am and joining the many runners as they arrive back at Suncoast, scanning the barcode and collecting the 300 points followed by breakfast at Mug and Bean. (Probably the same people that go to the gym just to swipe their cards....) I have heard rumors of Disco changing the points allocation to 100 points for Parkrun. Essentially making it a participation event. If you want the 200/300 points you will need to log the heart rate instead of just attending. Any news about the mandatory 30 min "attendance" at VA to get your 100 points? i.e. swipe in and swipe out 30 minutes (minimum) later?
  7. Those Dakars had the 650 Rotax motors in them if I am not mistaken. Was supposed to be a good engine that. Although a bit big and bulky with mediocre suspension for gnarly off-road riding it was by all accounts a good bike.
  8. My mates wife had a KLE500. Relatively low stand over height as I recall. Manageable in terms of weight and power.
  9. Soak then in water to remove the paper. The glue is a b!tch though. I have heard Doom works well and have used "Preen" aerosol stain remover in the past with success. Thinners just spreads it. Personally I am not a fan of glass bottles in a workshop. They make a mess when you drop them and you will... I would take a trip to the plastic shop and get some containers or plastic bottles.
  10. If it is on the weekend, get out early and walk along the promenade to Ushaka and then head up to Suncoast for a coffee or breakfast. The complex has just been revamped and is quite nice with lots of restaurants to choose from for breakfast or lunch. Bike and Bean by the skate park is also an option. Watch out for the North Beach Park Run on a Saturday morning at 8am though... LOTS of people attend! Try and be off by around 10am before the masses arrive. Gets a bit chaotic... Take the kids up north to Umhlanga, Umdloti or Ballito for the rest of the day. Check out Sugar Rush Park. Loads for mom and dad as well.
  11. Dogs too. Back in the days when milk and juice came in glass bottles.
  12. Small trick we learned while.changing nappies was to expose the nether regions to some fresh air and then cover them up and wait a minute. Usually manages to catch the #1 in the old nappy before you put on a fresh one.... "Usually"
  13. Mine started taking strain long before that....
  14. Go have a look for the Dakar App. Been using it for the last three years. Daily update videos for all the categories so you can only watch what you are interested in (trucks/cars/bikes etc). You can follow your favourite rider/driver as well and they do live updates as the stage progresses. RedbullTV also doing daily highlights videos but expect that to be a bit Redbull team biased. In case you are interested, there is also a WRC app that works quite well.
  15. Depends where you place the fan....
  16. You are p!ss!ng onto the wind with the worm... Rather just let nature take it's course.
  17. I have yet to meet anybody that has regretted canceling their DSTV....
  18. (For those on Tapatalk) *Comic Sans on* Rubbish man... As long as the other car is softer than yours, they become the crumple zone. *Comic Sans off*
  19. If you are going to go steel, get it drawn up on CAD (some of the laser guys offer a drawing service at a small fee), and get the brackets laser cut and you can do the powdercoat/paint and assembly? If you want timber, another option is getting the brackets cut on a CNC router. You just source and supply the timber.
  20. I like the idea of storing them like this. Obviously not the most efficient use of space but it allows you to easily see the labels and show off your collection.
  21. Mmmmmm a dedicated wine room..... One day when I am big..... As a side note we just took delivery of our grown up Christmas presents. One mixed case from Platform 62 in Ashton and another mixed case from Lacotte Wines in Franschoek.
  22. I am currently using a cheap MXQPRO (it says 4k on the cover but we only have a HD TV so can't comment there) and have no issues streaming Netflix, RedbullTV, Youtube, Mobdro and TVTap.
  23. Happy Birthday Barry. I no longer have a reason to travel to Benoni... Was always a standing appointment. Beers and bull***t at the Keg. I tried to keep up with him once.... before he packed in the booze. I got schooled that day!
  24. You should try buy straight CCA treated timber.... I told the salesman I was building a shed not a consignment of archery bows but my humour went straight over him like a frisbee over a fat Labrador.
  25. Grebel

    Who remembers?

I need to go look for this game now....
