  1. On my commute to work, I see a guy on an R1 (Blue and white with a set of Two Brothers carbon cans on). Rain, sunshine, hail... doesn't matter. Not even a rain suit when it's wet. Hardcore m'f'er...
  2. I am hoping that some of you might be able to help. Looking for the following: Aprillia RS250 Mk1 swing arm and shock Aprillia RS250 Mk2 front mag Making some inquiries for a friend. Thanks in advance
  3. We are watching House of Cards S03 so I know how you feel... S02 - Mr & Mrs Underwood and Meecham........ did NOT see that coming!
  4. Surely a plug adapter is a smaller more convenient option?
  5. I have no idea how I got this far without one...!
  6. The best decision that we made was going into a Disco wellness centre thingy and getting everything done in one sitting (Nurse, bio and dietitian). Makes life that much simpler. A Saturday morning appointment for the whole family and we are almost halfway to our goal in an hour or two.
  7. If you don't follow the correct sequence on the 640, it will in all likely hood live up to the acronym (Kick Till Monday) There is a procedure on Adventure Rider that I follow and it hasn't failed me yet I kick mine standing on the LHS and kick with my right foot. That left hand kicker messes with my head if I am on the bike....
  8. To make life easier, always buy a bike with papers and preferably running. It is possible but from what I have heard it takes a lot of rubber stamps and running around to get it done. Affidavits, police clearance, data dotting etc. Get it COR'd and registered and then start playing
  9. First things first. Where exactly are you going to be riding and how often. Initially it may be a commuter but then you go for an adventure day trip with a mate/s and the next thing you are fitting luggage racks and GPS mounts. When that happens, kicking a thumper in full battle gear in the blazing Cape sun is going to get old quickly! (Especially after the third or fourth time...) They don't kick as easy a a smoker. A happy button is a really nice option when you are out in the bush on a hill or stalled in a river crossing. I pass a guy in the mornings that commutes on a WR450. Wheelies from the robots and if I could see through his lid I would expect to see a grin from ear to ear (But that's probably true for most bikers TBH) Think about the weight as well. If you plan to venture off the beaten track it will play a big part. Maybe a KTM 300EXC...? Able to be registered and then you have the smell of premix as well as the powerband! Wait, I am getting carried away here.......
  10. With an internet connection anything is a few days away. From that list, I would get the pig. XR650s are a dime a dozen. Air cooled and simple. Loads of aftermarket stuff available. Not going to light up the night sky, teasonably good offroad if you aren't planning any wide open tech stuff AND would be a fun commuter with a set of motard rims on. OR.... A KTM 525EXC. Nice light adventure tourer. Do a search and see. Might be touch and go with the budget though. Good luck!
  11. Does Real Debrid work with TVTAP?
  12. I installed TVTAP a while ago and bounce between that and Mobdro. However..... I am battling with buffering and haven't had any luck with a continuous stream (on both platforms) We have a 20Mb VDSL line at home that only really gets up to about 12-14Mb on a good day. Are there any solutions that can solve the buffering issue? Eg Real Debris?
  13. Price is up to R1299 today
  14. https://capecoffeebeans.co.za/products/severin-conical-burr-electric-coffee-grinder?variant=846589573 Read the last paragraph titled "A word on grinding for espresso" Might come up short if you are going to be using it on a professional machine.
  15. Just in case anybody is in the market for a grinder, Takealot have the Severin on special. Normally R1599 from Cape Coffee Beans but going for R1199 on Takealot. 6 units left after I placed my order.
  16. Thanks. My Krups did the same think. Depended on the beans supplier as well. Seemed like the fresher the roast the more static there was
  17. That sucks dude... I was going to like this comment but couldn't like the fact that you have to let the GS go. I am in a similar position with my son going to Uni next year. We still haven't finalised a payment plan yet but I hope it doesn't involve selling my bike.
  18. So the time has come to replace my trusty old Krupps grinder that has served me reasonably well for about 7 years. I own a Delonghi Icona "Espresso" machine as well as an Aeropress. My goto brew method however is my Aeropress. I like my coffee in a mug with a little bit of milk and a dash of sugar (you can keep the pitchfork locked away for now...) probably because the quality of the grind is not quite up to par resulting in the brew being a little bitter. We moved house 8 months ago and the Delonghi is still in its box.... while the Aeropress does daily duties. At the moment the house us eating money faster than Kobayashi downing hotdogs at Nathan's so this is unfortunately a budget buy unless something spectacular happens... The replacement won't be a Krupps but at the same time it won't be a Rancillio Rocky or Nuova Simonelli either. I have no plans for the near future to go out and buy a fancy espresso machine so an entry level grinder would more than suffice I think. Just don't want to buy a rubbish one. Budget is R1500. I have a small hand grinder off Amazon that looks like a Porlex that is doing duty at the moment and delivering good results but I am not always in the mood to grind by hand. I have had a look at the Severin from Cape Coffee Beans as an option and would appreciate some feedback from the experts. Again, the budget is really tight and I would ideally like to stay as close to the R1500 mark as possible. Thanks in advance
  19. I have drunk the orange Koolaid but to me that the KTM 790 just looks wrong. The Tenere 700 looks a lot better but as you mentioned, 2020....
  20. Shouldn't that be your landlord's problem? Have you let them know?
  21. A friend of mine has just traded his KTM 1190R in on a BMW 1000 XR. He is very happy.
  22. Many hours spent on Wipeout 2097, Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot and Gran Turismo

  24. I don't think I'll ever be that hungry.
