    What

disk breaks are more responsive in wet muddy conditions, they got more breaking power, but yes they are slightly heavier.
  4. Jonkershoek-pick any single track
  5. I agree with you Big H. lets start our own bicycle factory where we can just have a "bindle of carbon fibre pipes joint together" and sell it at a much lower price!!
  6. let them take what they want and how much they want-they going to do it anyway! It your own body. One must enjoy the sport, so if one only enjoys it to win then let him take juice to win.
  7. why dont all sport commities just legalise dope? Seriously...lets be honest...there are so many (of which we know of) athletes taking it. they just waisting their time by testing. Its a battle that won't be won. It should be a personal choice weather one wants to take dope or not.
  8. very nice! You growing a nice collection of bikes hey!

  11. Yes our pro teams are not the best but they are however improving a lot over the years. As riders and teams go overseas they bring back with them the knowlage and intensity of racing overseas therefore when they race here in SA it improves the racing of the entire field. for example...i was racing for a team in Jhb in 2006, then Konica went overseas for a few months to race. Once they got back they raced everyone broken, but overtime all the other teams improved, and so the entire elite level improved. Its also a matter of whether one gets the opportunity to race overseas. Most people dont have the contacts or the money to go overseas. On the other hand i dissagree with people who take juice to improve theirselves(and I know there are) just to try make it into the local elite level. If one is unable to make it to the top naturaly then you should honestly not be there.
  12. cool photos. wish I was there
  13. Any one got a group ride on?
  14. very nice

  16. Good stuff!!
  17. I used shimano for many many years and was alwasy happy. But then tried Sram and. . .well. . .wow!! Iv completely converted everything. Sram has a very 'solid' and quick change, where as shimano is a very gentle shift, and I found that often one would have to have a 'easy pedal' for the gears to change when Sram changes when you want it to change.

    crankset

yes but cant you get smaller(eg 33-42) road chainrings? im just thinking aloud
  19. I think you need to explain yourself to your wife bout your new bike good luck

    crankset

Might be a stupid question, but anyways why cant you use a road crankset on a mtb?? the crank lengths are the same, just the chainring sizers differ, but surley you can get a chainring in whatever mtb size you want,eg 44-32

  25. Iv just been given a Garmin and not sure exactly how to use it. Please could someone help me on how to use the virtual partner. How do you start it, does it 'race' you with the complete program or can you just use it for a specific lap. I want to use it when im doing interval training. My interval distances are the same but my warm up/down and rest periods may differ. How can i just use the virtual partner for the intervals? thanks
