  1. +1 for the Reba. Can't compare to the rest on the list, but I love my Reba RLT - so plush and you can adjust anything and everything to nth degree.
  2. As pointed out, you're missing the point. It's not the length of time for the item to arrive, it's the lack of ability to provide a tracking number / proof of posting that is being questioned. If he can follow the item up with his post-office then he has some sort of tracking number that can help the OP track it on his side.
  3. Sepia - out of curiosity, how did Admin help out last time?
  4. Shweet. Thanks for the info. Very keen to see my progression from all-smiles to all-cramps-and-no-sense-of-humour
  5. +1 - at first glance this oke looks like a legit hubber with some posts, friends, etc. but a few negative ratings would definitely put a stop to me buying from the guy.
  6. Thread back from the dead... Anyone know who took the pics this year? Can't find anything on ActionPhoto / JonIvins / ROAG?!?
  7. Rumour has it that the site will be up tomorrow.
  8. I upgraded my GT Avalanche 1.0 over time and ended up getting it into a decent racing machine. Problem is that you'll need to upgrade a lot of components to get to a 'light' bike cos it's a fairly heavy frame(about 1.8kg). There are some quick wins however - get a new cockpit. You'll be shocked to see how much the stock GT handlebar, stem, etc weigh! Then as you said you can drop off a lot more with a new wheelset and an air fork, but then you're starting to spend some dollars. Do the sums beforehand to determine how much you're in for and then you can make an informed decision about whether to upgrade / buy a new bike.
  9. Cool man. I put down the MrP website, but I'm sure they'll work it out
  10. For those of you that make use of the sa-active website to get Discovery points, I've got the 102km added to the website so you can claim your points now.
  11. +1 for easton's. Got a set of XC one's and they're AWESOME. Just check the weight limit though - I think there were a few guys that buckled their easton's when I was checking the reviews.
  12. You're actually 185 centimeters = 6 feet + 0.8 inches. Just under 6 foot 1
  13. I found the following site on the web that provides a table with recommended frame sizes for GT bikes. Based on your height, you may be between a L and XL, but the L shouldn't be too far off? I'm in the same predicament as you but between M and L and the medium fits me a lot better. Maybe try out an XL and see the difference?

Bad news guys. CWC Online is .... offline! Gonna be a slow week
  16. Anyone know who took the pics at the Hill 2 Hill race?
  17. In that case, stay away from Assos. They apparently recommend handwash AND they recommend their own washing powder / liquid!!
  18. I must admit that as the pain fades, the memories get fonder. I've already gone from "fork I'll never do that race again!" to "Can't wait for next year!". Great test of physical and mental stamina.
  19. Oh well... there goes my business plan
  20. My previous shorts have all gone to cycling shorts heaven cos the padding wore out relatively quickly. A lot of people have blamed that on the machine washing I used to do, but it seems like that may not be the case after all. Shweet! I'm not a fan of the handwashing thing so this is great news
  21. NOW you tell me
  22. So I just bought myself 2 new pairs of bibs and although not explicitly stated on the labels, I've heard that machine washing is not advisable. I've tried handwashing with warm water and Omo but I've had limited results (first wash the water came out pitch black so I think the water was too hot and second wash I battled to get the dirt stains off). Any tips / tricks / products that you guys know of to keeping bib shorts clean and spotless?
  23. Classic!
  24. Makes sense for the road training, but then you're making an easy ride (in comparison to MTB) even easier. I leave mine unlocked on the road training sessions to simulate how I ride off road.
