  1. I'm doing this ASAP, need to go find a supplier of the balls now though.
  2. Retain the "image" and turn that into something decorative, Edison bulb lamp on top or something.
  3. Been following that guy for some time, he posts some amazing shots. Couldn't make it on Sunday but looking at your pics and his it looks like it was packed. Edit: spelling
  4. you missed Garmin, :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Man Card please... Real men use these:
  6. Just gonna say this... WOW Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Go home pigeon, you're drunk.
  8. Let us know what they say, inside of mine is also starting to get rather worn, may be viable to replace it from them.
  9. Do they answer the phone?
  10. Got a bunch lying around doing nothing. The other challenge / investment if going that route is that you can't charge with the standard charger and you would need a bespoke charger for it, Lipo is also potentially very dangerous, if you exceed the C rating on a cell if will puff and depending on the seal once it lets go its quite violent.
  11. Ping Mr Jigghead, he might know a guy who knows a guy.
  12. I can put you onto the guys I bought my blades from they do custom sized blades - I'd advise against trying the self shorten option, even if your grinding skills are amazing to get it smooth and strong will be a bugger. I went through 3 suppliers before finding the right one, the first 2 sets i bought snapped within minutes of being used - just running through some off cuts - and yes, I set the tension up right, ;-). When i found the last guys I bought 8 blades (2 of each tpi) thinking i would then have a spare... I'm yet to need the "spare" You could donate it to me when it finally dies - pwetty pweeeez? perhaps for a small beer fund fee....I have a bunch of Li-on cells hanging around, in addition to my RC lipo batteries that I could retrofit. Ideal would be LiFePO4 which is what the DeWalt tools use, they can be abused second to none, some of the RC guys "charge" their 3-cell LiFEPO4 packs direct from their car battery with 2m common ripcord acting as some resistance.
  13. Same reason why both my tables are currently stored with a certain other regular contributor to this thread. My garage is due for one serious clear-out when it warms up a little.
  14. I "inherited" a small table top Einhell bandsaw (Reckon it was made in the early 90's), the blade is only around 1450mm and took me ages to find someone that could make up the blades for me (Found some guys in Cleveland, JHB), once i did and fixed it up, it became one of the most used items in the garage (keeping in mind my RC plane addiction).
  15. Also have 2 Ryobi table saws, fully agree that the fences are total Cr@p, clamping system is a joke. Normally end up g-clamping a suitably straight material to the table instead of the fence. I've been tempted to make a new fence system for it, plenty of nice DIY options around, just have never gotten round to it, yet.
  16. I have a few boxes of old parquet flooring and was wondering the same at one point. One idea i had was to make up a nice backgammon table top, and inlay the markers with some other random exotic material.
  17. Nike vs PnP.... Edit, second thoughts, to keep it cycling related.. Pyga vs Spaz... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. On a semi related note, I've often thought about making a DIY track saw, I used a festool one a few years back when installing kitchen tops (Should'e gone granite) and was impressed on how well it worked
  19. Cape Town living up to its name again, Christmas bonus 7 months late... Just kidding, well done, hope you're gonna post more pics of the projects you use it on.
  20. This is worth at least getting an additional 500 posts added to your post count... If you listed something at a price that your are comfortable with (even if its low compared to market rates), then why go through the pain of being greedy and accepting another offer and trying to lie your way out've a sticky situation. Good man.
  21. Ok, while we are on the topic... I burnt my moka pot some time back, after buying it I was running some "cheap" coffee through it and got distracted. The outcome is that the base that had some type of coating (doubt it being anodized) discolored quite badly, inside though it looks ok. Question is, would it still be safe to use? I could strip / polish the outside, I'm just more concerned that the heat could have affected the aluminium inside somehow?
  22. Fark, why did I just do that, now I want more.... I have a few medium and a couple of big sash clamps from my wife's grandfather that pasted away a few years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. How about I just go google, sorry, was being lazy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. pics? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. 3.2 sounds like the Edge 500's SW version not the F3... Edit: Coincidence... http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=10271 fenix 3 HR software version 3.31 Beta
