I bought a Flux 2 3 weeks ago, mates all have Wahoo Core. I’m still waiting to have my first Zwift with power correct, have calibrated both on Flux & Zwift and still seems wrong, like pushing a cow uphill even on the flats!
Been assured by the LBS by calibrating only the Flux will work, going to try tomorrow, if not it’s going back!
Thanks, it is ANT+ so will need to track down ANT+ USB!
Apologies for my non technical understanding but I have a old style Cycleops Fluid (non smart!) trainer and powertap hubs, Elite + & SL+ wheels, keep to join mates on Zwift, any idea if either of these hubs can connect to Zwift?
Thanks
HTFU#5 mates from CT did it for my 50th in 2012, 7 & did 125km & 2 the 68k, hardest 1 day on a mtb but fantastic experience! Did plenty of climbing in training & plenty of miles but still was tough, hot & skinny air, long portage on loose shale & last 15k technical descent hard on the hands. We went 10 days early, booked Erik at MTBVerbier as guide & logistics, brilliant Dutchman, so lots of prep in altitude & technical trail sections & fun time! ???????? good luck well worth the effort!
Brilliant day, great route and privilege to transverse Groenlandberg, suffered on the climb out the saddle into the wind, lack of distance training but well worth the pain for great finish route, felt like a real epic playdate????
So with the 2016 racing calendar just started, and the "almost unbelievable" results in some races already, I hope all category winners are being tested, and retested!
We used a camper for both J2C 2013 & Epic 2014....rode mixed with my wife, so took some pressure off logistics!
But just a word of caution on costs, use lots of lube, because the camper companies not very gentle with their pricing!
Check out relocation costs, proper insurance etc etc....+R30k at a blink!
Have the test results from Epic 2014 been released yet?
My son's (ex mine!) Trek EX 9.9 full sus mtb bike was stolen from school bike shed (it was locked) at southern suburbs school, Cape Town. Bike has XT groupset, Maxxis Lust tyres, has Epic sticker on headset & "Mike Byron" decal on top tube from bike service. Also has been painted in various places on the frame with Identidot system which should show up under infrared light and was registered via the Cyclelab system.
I am missing something?? Exxaro MTB Academy riders, are being pushed into races like the Epic & Trans Alps, when surely these young riders should be being groomed for XC racing in the first instance, and taught the real skills of mtb, and develop their riding?
Or is this about CSI & race organiser press exposure?
Has the race/lap distances for age cat been announced yet?
Ok just got it....computer say "na", so assume that is a sign?
Any idea when the results of the Epic 2014 lottery will be announced.....or is no news, good news!
Have just ordered some Sintered Formula ORO brake pads, but have realised my brakes are Formula RS1, and idea if they are compatible?
I made a school error today and left my Garmin 705 on the bumper of my car today after washing my bike and then drove along Newlands Avenue!
Hopefully someone picked it up before it was driven over....please if you found it, please let me know!
Thanks
THE TOUGHEST ON A ROAD BIKE MUST BE "KAAIMANSGAT", IT IS OUR OWN ALPINE CLIMB FROM BOTH IDES, IT IS JUST 2KM ON THE LEFT OUT OF VILLIERSDORP TOWARDS WORCESTER, PLUS IT IS PROBABLY THE SAFEST ROAD TO RIDE IN THE COUNTRY!
Looking for some tech input, am riding Epic but had leg op 7 months ago so struggling with rehab to get full strength back on the leg, no surprise!
Am riding an XTR triple 9 speed 11x34, and was wondering if a 12x36 wouldn't be better (if possible/compatiable?) given the nature of the routes?
Any major downside?

Hopefully Epic don’t disqualify Matt Beers....all his Epic stages were on Strava:) lucky it is a stupid rule in the age of big data!
