Ah,that's not good to hear! My dad snapped his off chasing after a burglar! That was 4years ago. The doctor who did the operation said he'll only be able to start cycling again in 6months. And he couldn't except that. Thanks to the internet,he did some research and found a Doctor Setti who is really good,he followed his advice and after 6weeks he was on the trainer doing 15min at a time. He lost a lot of carve muscle and was very stiff,but the worst was knee aches when he started riding on the road again. Try and do leg extension's,that will keep the knee mobile and in working condition. All the best with recovery!

I would have loved to race there again but a air ticket would be R1400.....! Damn,and that SRM sound soooo inviting! Any chance I can give the prize to somebody there?

And you know,I would have love to come and race there again on Thursday and recieve my prize,but erm that's going to be one expensive race for me then......... Was there on Monday and saw how dirty the track is! We struggle to get them to clean the track on time after a concert. A couple of times we simply couldn't wait for them so Quayum had to get people to clean the track and paid for it out of his own pocket.

The other track commissioners who will be assisting me are <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /> Dave Street , Peter Daniels and Corne Bence . I have already completed a 14 page proposal for the first CSA board meeting which takes place on Friday 9 May in East London . Once the board has looked at the proposal , I will be in a position to forward it to you all for comment .. So be a little patient , change is happening in your province and in SA as a whole , in terms of track cycling .. As you are all aware , you guys voted us in , so now we need to do something positive . Please feel free to contact us with any TRACK CYCLING related queries that you may have . If possible , we will assist you . Also , if you want anything reasonable regarding TRACK CYCLING to be brought up at Board Meetings , we are your mouthpiece . Make use of us . Don?t after our 2 year term , complain that we did nothing for you . As a start , could the provinces maybe forward us with a list of tracks that are in their area . Useable and Non useable . Give a brief description of the facilities available . Could you guys also forward us with the number of track riders that your province has .
