  1. Wayne please PM me your cellphone number. I am trying to sort my things out but might be able to give her a home . Just need to sort out a few technicalities
  2. Hi Wayne Sorry to hear that the babies can't go with. Have you found a home for Rolo yet?
  3. Hey all. I have this medium sized girl staying at my place at the moment. I picked her up roaming Eco Park, Centurion lost and crying. She has an extremely friendly personality and is clearly loved by someone. She sits for food, waits and gives paw, so clearly someone's furry child. If you know her owner or might be able to help with a temporary home please get in contact with me. She is a medium size "dog", not sure of the breed, with uncut tail and ears and a white stripe on her chest. Regards Hannes 071 354 2662
  4. Got this one from my better half for xmas. Its an automatic mech Fossil. Has a runtime of 36hours witout being worn, this will become my primary watch so for now my trusted Skagen with join the Citizen on the shelf
  5. I have a +- 5 year old Hope trials, so far I have bled it once (2 months ago) and replaced the hose and pads. Still stopping like a monster!
  6. Yup, we are about 5 in GP and a few in Cpt. Feel free to pm me then I'll let you know when/where we ride
  7. Nice Chris! Now try that on my bike :-)
  8. Definitely a snake you want to avoid!! Puffadder has an extremely painful bite, not fatal in most cases but you suffer for about a week. In terms of behavior, they're pretty lazy snakes, won't move out the way when you approach, this makes them less aggressive, but they do have the fastest strike speed (as far as I know fastest in the world but it might only be Africa), can strike a balloon twice before it pops!
  9. R11 per day, 7 days = R 77? If that is the case I'll up it to R20 a day. Please pm me banking details
  10. I think your theory is possible. I have also heard the following reasons why they are better for security when sleeping inside: Easier to pin point the origin of the "danger"Poison is less of a threatThe intruders are less certain of the amount of dogsYou are alerted to any danger easierThe dogs bark less often at useless things so when they do you should react
  11. Here's an update on my baby. He's around 9 months old now, you can see the black on he's beak slowly fading away. This is my first Eclectus, truly amazing parrots with an awesome personality and extremely clever. He's easily as smart as my late African Grey girl, but definitely easier to train. He's still battling to speak, lots of baby mumbling but no real words yet. I have managed to potty train him, so no more dirty shirts , he has a stand in the car and loves driving with, he's trained not to scream/shout for attention and plays fetch (sorta, until something more interesting catches his attention)
  12. We stay clear of the singletrack, can't see much in the long grass as you approach the bottom so a but sketchy there
  13. R75 paid. Keep the rubberside down, people it PE drive like hooligans!
  14. Hey guys. I decided to stick to the tar road this morning. Just be vigilant, there's 4 bravo characters sitting between the 2 reservoirs across the road, 2 male and 1 female on the right and 1 male on the left of the tar road, doubt that they work there, all had some sort of cANCer clothing piece on, the 1 male a beret and the female a flag wrapped around her body
  15. 1st set but I have no idea from what side Coming from Newlands/Menlyn side
  16. I would recommend Groenies or Red Barn
  17. Got my facts wrong the 1st time sorry guys. It was the students that was attacked. They were on the benches and it was around 17:00. No idea how I got that confused
  18. I'll be out there tomorrow morning from about 6 till 6.30 (KK is our turn around point), too short to form part of a group but at least it's another body on the road. We come in from Waterkloof's side and normally take the singletrack on the left (after the 1st turn) that leads down to the R21 gate then back on the tar over KK home. I am seriously considering skipping the singletrack due to the attacks (we're 2 guys together)
  19. Will try get more info. Will speak to her tonight and get back to you ASAP.
  20. Ahh ok. The nurse told me about it at around 6pm Sat afternoon. So it must have been a separate incident.
  21. Not to be judgmental but what man leaves a lady to fend for herself? Glad she's ok. Hope she got all the needed medical tests and checks done
  22. Don't think it's the same people. The couple I'm talking about was older, the guy is a "Dominee" of some sort, older people if I understood correctly. And they were attacked while cycling. Unfortunately she can't give me names etc due to confidentiality.
  23. I heard from a nurse that they stitched up a guy that was stabbed 7 times on Klapperkop. Unclear on where on KK it happened and at what time but he was in theater on Saturday to be stitched up. Apparently he was with his wife. Does anyone have any info of this?
  24. Just had a look at that Opinel. It is a stainless blade with what they call cow horn handle. The handle looks to me to be resin but it might be the treatment on the horn that makes it look plastic. Price is R1799
