  1. I am not one to resort to violence but I'll m0er someone it they did that to me!!!
  2. Sheesh!!! That is insane! Goodluck with trying to get it sorted! I found that working through DHL (more expensive shipping I know, but also quicker) the VAT is calculated a lot more accurate and a lot less BS.
  3. So sorry to hear!
  4. It's easier to remember ...
  5. Good morning guys. Riding Gauteng, places like BRB, Northerns, Buffelsdrift and Hennops, what gear ration would you suggest on a 29er? Rear tyre will be something quick (probably a 2.10), I'm looking at the Maxxis Icon, and the front will be a nice and fat tyre, probably a Specialized Ground Control or something similar (looking at a minimum of a 2.25, possibly even a 2.5)
  6. She's stunning!!! May there be many many happy days and memories!!! PS. Add babywipes (those cheap ones you get 3 packs taped together at Dischem) to every bag, car and picnic bag you own! Works like a charm to de-bulldog anything.
  7. Congrats Allrounder!!! I think I know what she looks like
  8. Banished looks quite cool. How much time is required to play?
  9. Have a good one guys. I did the first one, and thoroughly enjoyed it!! Sadly the alignment of the planets are off and I won't be doing this one. PS. Most of the carnage, IMHO is unskilled cyclist overreaching and coming short. Sadly many yearly warriors (my version of someone that only rides once a year) ride the JUMA, so be patient and have an awesome ride!!!
  10. Rolo pulling faces at me this morning when it was time to go out:
  11. This is the reason I am going with "X" amount of rands in cash, to buy a sandwich and a coke, and leaving the credit card at home!!
  12. That is brilliant!! Sadly I have never had this experience. Quickest I have had was 3 weeks from last trace into the country to delivery at SAPO.
  13. My package will be landing today from CRC, my order was for just over R4000.00. Add 15.4% for VAT, and DHL charges an additional Disbursement fee of R150.00. Also rather go for the DHL shipping as with the free shipping it may hang at customs and then the post office for ages.
  14. Is this a late new years resolution?
  15. Some of these watches are absolutely stunning!!! That Tudor with the leather strap will probably make me sell most of my limbs/organs (with the exclusion of an arm) to have it! If all goes well I'll be the new owner of this beauty within the next few weeks: As a side note, I have zero insurance at the moment, (my car and household items are all on the family's insurance). Can anyone suggest an insurance company that will cover theft from home and off my person? If they do cover any damage that will be ideal but not a deal breaker.
  16. Rest in peace Tumbles! The world has lost a legend!
  17. Slightly off topic but still on Hardtail trail bikes. As a weekend warrior, bashing around Gauteng (mostly), what would the pro's and cons be of going hardtail rather than a full suspension bike? Budget wise the hardtail does seem a bit cheaper (depending on the build). At the moment I ride a Merida One Twenty which I am looking to replace with a frame with a slacker head angle and possibly a bit more travel.
  18. That is unfortunately not viable as I would end up owning all of them!!! Judging by the grunts I get everytime I look at a cycling magazine I reckon I hit the limit 2 bikes back. So this is a very strategic game...
  19. Wow this thread really confuses me!! Every time I make up my mind regarding a new trail bike then someone posts an extremely sexy bike in here and I'm all lost from the start...
  20. Hi Spidermonkey. This looks like awesome fun!!! Will this be a monthly thing like the Hustle? (I am away the weekend of the 3rd but would love to join in future) Will a roadbike SS be suitable or is it an offroad track? Regards L
  21. Does anyone know of a decent book out there where I can read up on the various methods of making coffee, some history and how to make an all round better cup of coffee? I am considering a short course but haven't found something similar to Truth's appreciation course. Could someone point me in a direction? PS. When I start something new I tend to go apesh!t on info until I know what I want to know about it.
  22. Haha will keep that in mind! I'll probably end up having 2 of them, one at home and one at the office. Was thinking of setting up a small personal coffee station in my office, for that occasion when you need to breath for 5 mins not to kill someone . How does one learn how to drink black coffee? Is it a matter of going cold turkey, stopping the milk completely and hanging in there till you like it? I use to drink 2 sugars and milk, however I have moved off of the sugar completely now (took me about a month to get used to it).
  23. Hi Skylark I am considering purchasing an ABID clever dripper. Once you receive yours please post a short review on it.
  24. Good afternoon all. So as a Xmas gift to the office our director got us a filter coffee machine which grinds its own beans. I know this is not the best but the coffee brewed tastes loads better than than instant coffee!! What beans do you suggest and where does one acquire such bean?
  25. I have seen this idea before, looks awesome! And if you're somewhat handy use a doorstop and some quickset cement to give the back some angle for extra comfort. If you're on Pintrest (or whatever the spelling is), search "DIY" or "home improvement", very similar ideas and others. PS. That's also how I got the idea of the firepit.
