  1. Haha reminds me of my youth. Who did this to their bike? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2340/2462746663_5d2dedbae1.jpg
  2. Yip. http://www.weardirect.co.za/sites/weardirect.co.za/files/Vizi%20Shirt%20front%20400x400_0.jpg or http://www.firstascent.co.za/uploaded_images/products/med_eeCQSQC.jpg
  3. They are on auction brand new every week on the hub. But you gotta like em in green and yellow.
  4. These look good for the price. Any idea where they retail in Joburg?
  5. I bought a bike from this oke about six months ago. It was worth the drive from Joburg to Klerksdorp for the price he gave me. He's a youngster who owns his own bike shop. I think the issue is that his english is a bit swak. Give him a chance. You hub okes are harsh sometimes.
  6. I ride with the Shimano M087G's and love them to bits. I tried on SIDI's and TIME's when I bought these, and these just felt so much better on my feet. I have done almost 4000kms on them and they still look and feel as good as new.
  7. My peak stays on my helmet on the road bike or the MTB. Helps keep the sun out of my eyes. I ride bikes, not make fashion statements.
  8. /hijack on Does anyone know if Northern Farms is open today? /hijack off
  9. Thanks so much for the advice. I will certainly give it bash.
  10. Aaaaah thanks for that. So I just put a few drops of the glue in the cuts?
  11. Nothing for the roadies.
  12. I have a pair of Vittoria Rubino Pro Slicks on my road bike. They have done around 1500k's and seem to be in good condition. I have had three punctures (small) in the rear tire, and I notice there is a cut on the tire about 20mm long. Is it safe to keep riding on these or do I need to replace?
  13. I'm shopping for tires tomorrow. What did you find and where?
  14. I have flat, wide feet. Tried on Time, Sidi and Shimano at the Time and the Shimanos where by far the best fitting and most comfortable. I have the M087's. Paid around R1000.
  15. Many thanks. I'll take the advice.
  16. I am in the market for a new wheelset (road). My budget is up to R5k. I found these: Click. Are they any good? How would they compare to something like the Mavic Wheels in the same price range or the Shimano Ultegra range of wheels? I don't race, just a leisure cyclist. Looking for something light and strong.
  17. Great thanks!
  18. Cool. Happy with what you got?
  19. Looking for a towbar for a CRV. Honda charges R3k juuuuuust to fit! ... and R4k for the harware. Speedy and the likes are between R4.3k and R6k Steelite R2550 all in! Everyone happy with their Steelite towbars?
  20. I found the cheapest online shop (local) for a Polar cadence and speed sensor. e-mailed them. 2 days later they had not bothered to reply. Walked into Linden, they had them in stock as cheap as I could find em online. Today I took my MTB in today as my front brake was giving me grief. 15 minutes later. Fixed. No charge. Perfect service.
  21. Cajees requires good bargaining skills. Been looking for compact handlebars for my road bike. Popped into Cajees. Zipp handlebars priced R910. Paid R650. If you know what you want and what you are willing to pay, Cajees is great. I wouldn't take my bike there for a service. They seem to be in the selling business rather then being passionate about bicycle.
  22. I am no pro but here's my 2c. Take a look at Vredenstein. I have Killer Bees on my hard tail and they roll so fast on hardpack. No punctures to date. I rode with my Road King/ Mountain King combo yesterday. They grip well in most conditions, but feel like bricks. Check out the Vredenstein range here.
  23. Fizik +2 (Spelling - fi'zi:k) Just put on some Fizik microtex Dual tape. The thicker foamier one of the two. Check it out here. Look and feel of suede. Very nice indeed.
