Anyone riding tomorrow? I have got the day off and am planning a long outride to possibly Harties and back. So any Cape Epic riders, Desert Dash entrants or MTB's with time on their hands! I know I should post in Group rides - but this needed a short term response!

I ride between 10 and 15 hours a week - so that means that I need to service my shock monthly!!!

OK - so I am looking for a recommended town/base where we can do a 200+km circular gravel road, long slow distance - through the night. Factor to take into consideration: 1. Close to Johannesburg (somewhere where we can leave on Saturday 2hrs drive max) 2. Safe gravel roads where we can ride through the night - so physical safety and no/low traffic 3. LSD route so not too concerned about mega hills etc. 4. Small towns, stop overs en-route added bonus Was thinking of back areas around Clarens?

Do you need to get permission to ride the 94.7 route twice? A group of us are thinking about doing it as a training ride? I just want to know if you need to get permission to do so? How often do you get to ride Jozi streets traffic free - might as well make the most of it.
