There should be a World Champs track down table mountain. Imagine, 800 meters vertical, 9 minute descent and a cablecar back to the top!

What time did this happen? Was it on the new step down that we built last week? I was coming down there on Sunday morning and saw a couple of guys on DH bikes that I hadn't seen at tokai before.

So when do we start building? And what's happening with the signage?

I tried greeting all my fellow motorists on my morning drive to work today. Not so successful for some reason. Maybe they can't see me in the dark and rain. Tomorrow I will flash my headlights at all the other cars in a friendly way!

At the dh race at jonkershoek the shuttle took 45 minutes to get to the top. You could walk your bike up the whole track in less time. Shuttles are easy but not always as fast as you think. And anyway the article is talking about using shuttles during PRACTICE for the weeks before the event. No shuttles on race day.

Dh race is R300 for 2minutes... But I still do them cos its fun!

If you are on a bicycle and causing the motorists to get aggro then you're an idiot. Having right of way or having the right to cycle in the middle of the lane doesn't make you any less dead when some flippin retard mows you down. There's a saying, you get old pilots and you get bold pilots but you don't get any old, bold pilots. The same could apply to cyclists. So be carefull out there...

If we can redo the snake trails to flow like dh1 it will be awesome. Of course the jumps will have to be smaller but that's cool. Can't hit the big jumps with bells anyway...

Hell, give him a bottle! The problem I forsee is that we spend all winter getting the snaketrails better than ever! Then next summer they turn to sand and dust due to the lack of shade and extreme heat.

Wp downhill on facebook. All the races are advertised on there. Not sure when the season starts but the season warm up race is at Paarl on 2 and 3 feb. Cool track, perfect for beginners and shorter travel bikes!
