    Argus 2014

park at century city, take an easy gentle ride into town to warm up and then ride back afterwards to cool down.
  5. i don't think you'll need a wetsuit. The water is likely to be around 20 degrees and that's not bad for 1.5km
  6. well done. just be glad it wasn't in CT yesterday. Temp went up to around 45 in stellenbosch, paarl area. I registered around 39 in the century city area
  7. it's great to carry a spare tubby but what happens if you have more than one puncture on a ride, aren't you a bit stuffed then. At least with a clincher you had keep putting patches on and you can carry a lot of patches.... or am I missing something.
  8. the end is near, we need to start singing for rain
  9. this seems crap expensive simply to walk around a company and then ride on roads you could probably ride on for free

  12. hey ramrod - what car are those rims going on?
  13. the group set on this gumtree bike looks new, the manual or price tag in the front wheel, no pedals.... all looks too dodgy
  14. I seriously want us to win but never under estimate the aussies. They can have 5 wickets down and still put on 400. The game is far from over and we've got a long way to go
  15. better than a river of yellow and green
  16. that's a cool pic
  17. well done jigghead. condolences though to the family who lost a husband and dad in the swim
  18. I like this thread
  19. the omega's are probably in the region of R45000 at least
  20. entries for the swim are open http://www.bcmile.co.za/ very well organised event. 4 x 1.6km swims starting every hr. you can do as many of then as you want.
  21. my only recommendation is get one that fits. orca are also good
  22. thanks. mine started to leak so had to stop using them.
  23. there's a bit of a discussion around kicking on one of the other threads. But basically you don't need to stress about doing loads of kicking training. You basically just need to keep your legs up as you're doing. I find those kick boards are difficult to use. So I kick with my arms stretched out in front without a board. And then I do about 4 freestyle strokes in every 25m. I can't kick for the whole length at the moment. Over time I might get better but for now this is enough
