  1. Thanks a million to NotSoBigBen for his kind donation today: KTM frame, Cadex frame and wheels, helmets and some other parts.
  2. Yeah, I can't afford a lawsuit from Spez.
  3. I bought some small washers from Builder's Warehouse a while back when my old bike had the same "need". Worked fine. At like 20c per washer....
  4. Big up to the guys from Ballistic Bike Trading for thinking of our initiative and donating this awesome frame! Anyone have any shifters and a rear dérailleur to donate so that the bike can be built up?
  5. Glad you''re ok man! I really feel pretty despondent about how the taxis are behaving on our roads. I don't foresee a solution....
  6. Just buy a new chain for R60. Any BMX chain is 1/2 x 1/8
  7. Ag ja I know man..... All I'm saying is get proper tubeless kit to start with. You know?
  8. My best advice is once you get back from the ride, visit said LBS and purchase a proper UST/Tubeless wheelset and some UST tyres. Never burp again. Never struggle to get tyre to seat again. My ZTR rims and Schwalbe Snakeskin/Maxxis LUST tyres have never given me a second's issue in almost 2 years of having them.
  9. You just voided your warranty. Gonna be awesome though!
  10. Not necessary
  11. Hmmmmmmm........weight on the ally steerer model please.....I can't believe I am considering going rigid again......my poor wrists
  12. Is this with a straight or tapered steerer?
  13. If you run a chain that is stretched past 1% you'll destroy the chainring and cog quite quickly.
  14. I so want one of these bikes!!!! http://vimeo.com/83347849 http://transitionbikes.com/2014/images/Bikes_Rapture_Pic4.jpg
  15. I need MTB wheels, cranks and frames if anyone has any. I'd like the helmets please.
  16. haha, to be fair he wasn't "complaining" hehe. He did about 5000km on those pads and they were 2nd hand when he got the bike!
  17. If the QR can tighten up nicely, shouldn't "need" tugs. Mine has a bolt-on hub so my tug is cosmetic and only useful for wheel alignment and making fine-tuning the tension possible.
  18. One of the guys who received a bike a while ago brought it back to me complaining that the brakes aren't working. Here's why (the braking surface is facing up, BTW). Quick pad-change and a bleed later, and all is stopping well again.
  19. Very nice! I definitely need to get a white fork on mine
  20. Post some pics of the build man!
  21. Depending on your riding style, Nobby Nics are great front tyres. I use em on the back as well.
  22. My wife asked me why I don't shave my legs (I'm an enthusiastic mid-field MTB marathon finisher). I told her there was no reason for me to do so because I don't get leg massages or anything like that. She went on to comment that it might look nice though. That was a month ago. Well my wife is still on holiday with the kids and I decided to clipper away at my leg hair and send her a photo. I am glad to say that I got the following reply: NICE xxx So now if anyone asks why I might shave my legs, my answer will be an emphatic: 'cos the wife likes it.
  23. I did Majik Forest quickly today. Well impressed. 15km and 400m ascent.
  24. Thanks for the advice guys.
  25. I'm In the cape for a day and would like to do an awesome trail close to where I'm staying if possible. Can anyone give me a tip where to ride or anyone wanna guide me on a 2-3 hour ride?
